Review | Etude House Magic Bubble Creamy Peeling Wash

Tuesday 12 November 2013
Hello! How are you today? Beautiful Saturday isn't it? Yesterday was a very long day and I literally passed out after my design studio (though I actually went out to do some pre-Christmas Etude House haul before I went back to my dorm LOL) and only this morning I started to draft this review.

Anyway, today I'll be sharing with you guys about a product released by Etude House in 2012 (ads were done by 2NE1's Dara), from the Magic Bubble Peeling line, Creamy Peeling WashThere are 3 products in this line, O2 Water Peeling Pack, Creamy Peeling Wash and Brush Peeling Foam. Not only these are different in terms of the form and texture, these also have different main ingredients. But these are all offering same function which is peeling i.e. removing the dead skin cells.

I found a translated ads from Google. Sorry, I forgot to take down the link but it's from eBay.

Now, let's go to the Product Description.

Etude House Magic Bubble Peeling, Creamy Peeling Wash.
Formulated with Cellulose, this whipped cream textured exfoliator works to eliminate dry and dull surface, to reveal a soft and smooth complexion.
It improves penetration of skin care and make up products due to removal of dead skin cells.

How to use:
  • Cleanse and towel-dry your skin.
  • Shake the bottle and press the pump firmly, point in a downward direction to dispense the appropriate amount of product.
  • Gently massage the product on skin using circular movement.
  • Do not exceed 3 minutes
  • Rinse your skin thoroughly with warm water.
  • Use 1 to 2 times per week.
  • Replace the cap after use.
Net capacity: 120ml

Packaging:

The product comes in this whipped cream can bottle with a nice purple and pink hues. Love the combination! It kinda give you a hint of feminism and lady like with that princessy illustration.

There's English description at the lower back of the bottle for our convenience.

Where to find the manufacturing date? It's at the bottom of the bottle. Scored a nice batch! It's only been 3 months since manufactured.

Avoid contact with eyes!

It also comes with a nozzle that just makes it more and more looks like whipped cream or hair mousse cream. LOL but this is convenient! Soft reminder though. If you want to place this in refrigerator, you know, for the cool sensation of it (maybe), REMEMBER to tell everyone in the house that this is NOT a whipped cream or your ignorant little cousins might put this on their mouth to taste the assumed new whipped cream flavour and DO NOT place this on hair dressing table because your roommate might accidentally put this on her hair. :D

Texture/consistency:

It's a rich, whipped cream-like foam and it's nice while massaging it on my skin. But as I massage it, the foam changed into white residues that looks like eraser residues.

Using the product!

I tried it on my left hand first by using my right hand to massage the product.

Whoa~ look at the creamy foam!

Spreading the foam.

Those are the white residues. There are some of it changed into brownish colour. Is it the dead skin cells??

Before (left) and after (right). It did brightens up my skin for a little bit but not so much of a difference, right?

Let's go to my second method. I used my Wonder Pore Facial Cleansing Brush.

Below: Before (left) and After (right). Now, we can see a better result, right? Please note that I only added my watermarks there. I took these photos at the same place under the same light.

Verdict:

Overall, I do like this peeling wash as like other exfoliators, it brightens up my complexion instantly and leave me with a smooth and soft skin. It doesn't irritate my skin and it has a nice scent.

To me, this is a mild exfoliator. Compared to my Skinfood Rice Wash-Off Mask which has the same function, this one delivers less than expected results.

Final verdict: 3.5/5. I was hoping for better results cause I found out that this product has been upgraded from its 2011's predecessor which was endorsed by Park Shin Hye. But unfortunately, things don't go the way I want with this product.

Anyway, this is retailed at RM59.90 in Etude House beauty store in Berjaya Times Square, KL but I got this during October Promotion so the discounted price was RM19.90 only. I actually grabbed the other two from this line, O2 Water Peeling Pack (RM89.90) and Brush Peeling Foam (RM99.90) but I gave them to my mom. Those two were sold at promo price of RM29.90 only. I will review them when I got the chance to fly home later.

Repurchase? Probably no. Maybe I'll just give this to my younger sis who has flawless skin and doesn't need much of exfoliating.

Okay, I think that's about it. Do share if you ever tried this product, and please recommend a good peeling product, will ya'? I'm thinking of grabbing TheFaceShop Smart Peeling in White Pearl later on but still looking for a good review on that.

Alright, thanks so much for reading this post so until next time, annyeong~
