Log | Formal with Pastels

Friday, 24 May 2024

Off to a meeting with our subcontractor to finalise some documents so I had to wear formal but I had coffee date with my girlfriends in the evening so I tried to tone down the look with pastel blouse, scarf and that muted beige pants.

Log | Work Outfit

Tuesday, 14 May 2024

Now that the trend-wise Spring fashion is here, I'm switching to lighter yet still muted tones for my tops but sticking with blacks for the rest of my outfit to keep things formal for my daily work outfits.

I got that flared top from Poplook SOGO KL during my recent trip to the big city and I'm already loving the shorter front hem. The slightly puffy shoulder joints are giving feminine looks but I'm a bigger fan of the embroidered sleeves and hems of the blouse. As I've only been spending my hours in air-conditioned office today, this top feels comfortable but I don't think I'd be opting for this during hot sunny days.

I've always loved palazzo throughout my 20s but now that I'm in my 30s, I've been wearing a lot more of stretchy straight-cut pants that go with different kind of tops like blouses, regular shirts even graphic t-shirts so I actually own these pants in different materials to match with the tops. Belt loops are non-optional for me.

For hijabs, I've always been loyal to TudungPeople so Hawa in Espresso is an absolute staple in my work wardrobe.

That kitten-heeled pumps from Charles & Keith have been my top footwear for daily office hours these days and they're quite comfortable to walk in.

I'm still wearing that Classic Cornwall watch from Daniel Wellington that I got from their Hong Kong-based webstore more than 5 years ago but I do think it's time to replace the band so I'm going to visit their Suria Sabah branch the soonest.

When it comes to work bags, I've been using that Halsey backpack from TUMI's Voyageur collection and I'm already obsessed with the gunmetal accessories. Loved the fact that I can carry my laptop, water bottle and notebooks along with my other essentials in separate compartments.

I'm just going to keep my work outfits minimal like this as I've been trying to focus on my latest hobby which is outdoor activities; nothing extreme as I've only been walking around the park next to my office buildings but I've also been investing in camping gears recently so I'd be sure to give you guys update right on my other blog soon so do stay tuned.

Fashion Haul | TudungPeople LE 2017: Hibiscus Collection

Friday, 1 September 2017
Launched by the brand during the most celebrated holiday of my country; Malaysia is a limited edition tudung collection called Hibiscus; our national flower.

There are 10 designs with 5 shawls and 5 squares. The colours are super pretty to me and the tone is kin of vintage-y and definitely suit my and my mum's taste.

I got 2 lovely pieces; Kuching (Square); in purple and Pasir Mas (shawl) in cream colour. I just truly amazed at the beautiful, elegant and stunning design of this whole collection that just fit many occasions for me.

Of course, these limited editions pieces comes with their respective hard boxes with matching design. Such a great inspo item that I want to place on my wall forever.

This time I'll be showing off Pasir Mas as I love cream colour when it comes to my must-have tudung.

The fabric made off satin silk and I gotta say I am in love with how it drapes. It’s so light and breezy which is perfect for long event.

Oh, the new golden rose brand plate? Pretty and better I hope. I hate losing the beads on my Numa Luxe babies.

All in all, getting the two of my favourite colours from the collection is totally worth it. I might be biased as this is the only brand I ever ventured into but their pieces are practical, comfortable, and above all beautiful so sue me.

I guess that's all for now. I'll see you girls on my next fashion haul. Assalamualaikum~

Fashion Haul | TudungPeople Numa Luxe Premium Mixed Crepe Shawl

Friday, 16 September 2016
So far, the only premium hijab I ever bought and wear is from TudungPeople. It all started when a classmate back university raved about a Tudung modeled by a 5th year senior in our Architecture department but the fact that the brand was founded by another senior of ours who made, designed and sold these beautiful hijab at several countries including Brunei, Singapore, Japan, Australia, UK, and Saudi Arabia amazed me so much that I became an instant fan of the brand itself.

The first hijab that I bought are from the Maysaa and Lamia collection and then I was introduced to this premium hijab line which is Numa Luxe.

Above are from the earlier Numa Luxe collection that was released back in February. I got mine in Sephia and Russet. You might think they're almost identical but that just lighting. Russet is slightly darker and warmer than Sephia.

The hijab in this line are made from Poly Crepe. They're thin but still quite opaque and definitely don't require for me to wear something beneath just to cover my neck. They flow beautifully no matter what kind of style you're pulling.

The hijab from previous collection are quite heavy and thicker compared to the new ones that I ordered (and launched at their online store) 2 weeks ago.

I got 3 colours! The first one is my current favourite which is Fairy Dust, a beautiful dusty or mauve purple. I finally found a colour that can go with my Vietnam silk-made baju kurung.
