Review | Innisfree 3-Minute Green Tea Skin Pack

Unlike three to five years ago, applying toner is merely a step between double cleansing method and the rest of the products at least to a skincare enthusiast like myself. These days, while most of toners are simply hydrating (watery), some others are added with soothing, brightening, moisturising (thicker; essential oil-containing) ingredients but my current favourite type of toner to discover is exfoliating toner; gentle acids-containing toners that help with exfoliating dead skin cells off my skin.

While most conventional toners come in bottles and it is totally up to you whether to use cotton pads with it or not but for me, I always use cotton pads for first application after cleansing step. As I would be using cotton pad with exfoliating toner which is always a first step after cleansing; sort of pH-adjusting toner that lowers the skin pH especially after using high-pH cleansers like most basic foam cleansers, I would not be using cotton pad with the following hydrating toners. It is important to have hydrating and soothing skincare products after exfoliating the dead skin cells (both physical and chemical exfoliation) so I’m going to talk about this toner pad that can be used as point masks for a quick soothing and hydrating remedy.

Product Description:

Enriched with freshly double-squeezed green tea from the Jeju island to deliver abundant moisture and nourishment deep into your skin.

  • 3-in-1 mask with Jeju green tea extract; 1, cools on contact 2, thoroughly hydrates and 3, brightens the look of dull, flaky skin in 3 minutes.

How to Use: Apply onto troubled areas with dryness or dead skin cells, remove 3 minutes later and then pat to finish.

5-Free System.

Capacity: 70ml (100 pads)

Ingredients list:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Panthenol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, PPG-13-Decyltetradeceth-24, Sodium Citrate, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract



There are sufficient information about the product printed in English on the sides of the box.


Period-After-Opened is 12 months but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna finish this within 3 months at max.


As you can see on the above photos, the product comes in that green tub with screw lid. There’s simplified Korean product description at the side of the tub and there is a product expiry date printed at the bottom of the tub and the format is YYYYMMDD (Year-Month-Date).


Looking at the small tub with 100 pre-soaked pads and 70ml of liquid, I can already hope that the pad is thin and I’m so glad I’m right about it! The pad is actually a Tencel sheet; similar material to the sheets for the brand’s water-type Real Squeeze sheet masks. This toner pad also comes with a plastic tweezer for convenience.


I’m not going to lie but it’s actually quite difficult to pick up a single pad! I had to use my other tweezer to peel off a single pad for the bunch that got stuck together. Still, that doesn’t make me loving the thinness of the pad.

Final verdict:

A single pad is actually quite big; enough to cover the points of my facial area like cheeks and forehead; my sensitive and redness-prone area. My skin does feel sufficiently hydrated when I use this in place of hydrating toner; I would be wiping my whole facial area with it like a regular toner pad but I mostly use it as point masks right after using exfoliating toner as I actually love the gentle soothing sensation this provides thanks to Panthenol in it.

The fresh green tea scent somewhat gives me some therapeutic effect but if you are not big on fragranced skincare products then it is best to avoid this.

Although this is truly at its best if you merely need a mild soothing effect with but there are times when I don’t find this is soothing enough so that is when I add several drops of Centella Asiatica-containing serum or ampoules underneath the pad while it is still damped and let them work together for like 5 to 10 minutes indeed like a regular sheet mask.

Overall, 5/5. I love it! Definitely will be repurchasing another tub; the repackaged version from local Innisfree store. Bought this at RM84. Pretty pricey but I still think I can stretch the usage pretty well so.

I'll be honest, when I first got these two I was a little bit surprised as never have I ever heard of this brand before especially the brand's approach in using wash-off masks and facial oil; Western style of skincare that I haven't ventured much into actually. But still, I'm always open to try new skincare.

Oh, my god! I don't think I can be more excited when I've received this month's Althea Angels Mail! Just look at those cuties! Althea has launched a new brand under their Althea Exclusives and it's called A'bloom!

Recipe for Sparkling Skin; Sheet Masks!

Bought 40 sheet masks and got another 40 for free during the launch event!

There are four variants; Nourishing Avocado "Avo-Cuddle-Me" Mask Sheet, Brightening Lemon Lime "Sparkle-Me-Bright" Mask Sheet, Moisturising Watermelon "Water-Me-Long" Mask Sheet and Anti-Blemish Peach "AC-Me-Peach" Mask Sheet. Even the names are cute, right? Thanks to Tammy @hellotammylim and her creative brain!

I've tried the Watermelon mask while I was on-board; coming here to KL for the The Butterfly Project 6th Birthday party last Saturday which I will update soon, and I gotta say that the moisture lasted quite long until later that day as I remember I don't have to powder my oily T-zone every few hours as per usual. As I was exhausted from such a long day, I merely deep-cleansed, toned, used the Lemon Lime mask before going to sleep and I still woke up with nicely bright and hydrated skin. After few days in this capital city, I've started to feel my skin slightly reacted to the heat and everything so that's when both of the Peach and Avocado mask came in. I used Peach in the morning; to tone down the redness I was having and Avocado last night as I'm feeling rather dry around my U-zone area; jawline and outer cheeks. I'm so glad that I woke up with a smooth, non-flaky skin this morning.

BHA Blackhead Blaster!

Now, I've only tried this product once so far and I haven't seen quite a visible result other than seeing how minimised my pores had become after using it and the area became smoother too! But as for blackhead situation I'm having around the tip of my nose, no improvement yet so I'm hoping to use this product some more before finalising my thoughts on it. Stay tuned for that!

Meringue Puffs!

Last but not least, these uber-cute beauty sponges that come in meringue-like shapes and pink pastel colours!

There are 2 sizes available; Giant and Baby! So far, I've used the big one to apply my sunscreen in the morning (dry) and a foundation that I bought from Innisfree yesterday (will update the application on Instagram soon!) and boy, I'd actually prefer the meringue puff over the free foundation brush! When damped, the meringue puff doesn't absorb the foundation as much and the finishing is actually quite good. Those baby meringue puffs are so nice as they reach all the curves around my facial area. 

I guess that's all for now; these are pretty much my first impression of these new babies from Althea A'bloom. Looking at the design and attractive price points, I've got to say that the brand is targeting young millennials and of course, people like me who are in their 30s who still dig cute skincare products! LOL But overall, things are looking good as I definitely see myself repurchasing these in the future; those sheet masks are just great for morning routines and I probably not going back to the Original Beauty Blender after this. Hah!

Event | Rejoice Launches New ‘Hijab Perfection Series’ As The Perfect Haircare Solution For Hijabistas This Ramadan

I've got a last minute invitation few days ago so I've managed to go out of KL city today by taking LRT from KLCC to USJ and headed to the event space at MYDIN Mall Subang Jaya. I've arrived at the event like 2 hours earlier. Who's excited? Now, let's go to what went down at the event earlier today, shall we?

The New Formula, designed to keep Hair Clean and Fresh from Sahur to Break of Fast, Lands at MYDIN and retail stores nationwide.

‘Hijab’ is a religious and symbolic identity of majority of the women in Malaysia and Hijabers face unique hair concerns beneath the veil every day. To address these concerns, P&G Rejoice scientists have interviewed hundreds of consumers and found that there is a considerable increase in temperature and humidity in the head region under the veil versus outside in their recent study. According to the study, three main hair and scalp concerns for Hijabistas today are dandruff, malodor and tangled hair.

To counter this issue, Rejoice proudly unveiled its new collection of Shampoo and Conditioner ‘Hijab Perfection Series’ that comes with a breakthrough 3-in-1 formula at a media event on May 3 where the science behind the new Rejoice formulas was shared along with interactive science demonstrations by Dr Rebecca Kan, P&G Asia Pacific Haircare Scientific Communications. The new product solves 1) Dandruff problem with extra clean anti-dandruff properties 2) Heat & Malodor with extra cooling from Menthol and refreshing smell of Kasturi flower 3) Tangled hair by ensuring extra smoothness that lasts all day and hence is the right haircare solution for Hijabistas.

Assalammualaikum and how are you my lovelies! It's been awhile since I last started my post with a greeting and I'm just so excited to share with you guys out there about an event that I've attended earlier today and boy, it was so much fun as you guys might've aware that this is indeed the first event ever for me; attending as a blogger representing Myra Beauty Diary! Woot! Woot!

I was supposed to leave on Tuesday after having a long weekend of attending my first party for beauty blogger community, hanging out with my friends, having local Asian Beauty Community meetups and of course, spending quality times with my best friend and then on Monday, came in the email from Guardian Malaysia through their PR company; an invite to their exclusive launch event for the lovely tote bags for Ramadan, a collaboration between the drugstore brand and a famous celebrity, Neelofa! Even though I'm not huge on local entertainment scene but as a hijab fashion enthusiast myself, I'm very much familiar with her brand, Naelofar; one of the biggest hijab brand here in Malaysia.

Now, let's go to what went down earlier today!

Guardian Malaysia unveiled today Nature Beauty, Red Blossoms and Floral Serenity tote bags - it has commissioned for its Exclusive Summer Collection for Ramadan. These tote bags were designed and inspired by talented actress, TV presenter, model and successful entrepreneur; Miss Neelofa, the owner of one of Malaysia's leading contemporary fashion brand; NAELOFAR.

So that's the very first event I ever attended as blogger from Myra Beauty Diary and it was fun indeed. The launch was at one of the nice restaurant in Suria KLCC, I've got to meet lots of other big social media influencers and it was lovely to meet writers from magazines like NONA, Jelita, Remaja; local beauty and fashion magazines here in Malaysia. I feel so excited and inspired at the same time as I've always wanted to attend this kind of event so here's to more exciting events in 2019! One last pic with Neelofa!
