Review | Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack in Seaweed

Friday, 18 November 2016
When it comes to wash-off masks, I love trying lots of variants from different brands that I love these days instead of buying those in tubs or tubes because honestly, I'm having trouble finishing them. I usually just do masking sessions with my mum and younger brother so it'll finish earlier compared to when I'm using it all to myself. Plus, it's fun!

I actually got this wash-off mask after being impressed with other variants that I've tried previously and my bestie was raving about this product like a year ago so I decided to grab this during Althea Korea Birthday event few months ago.

Review | SKINFOOD Egg White Pore Wash-Off Mask

Wednesday, 7 September 2016
I have tried several types of mask that help with my sebum control and so far I've encountered clay masks and this egg white mask from Skinfood.

If you're familiar with Skinfood then you'll definitely noticed how simple and traditional their packaging is. I mean, comic san font. Really? But then again, I'm still loving their wash-off masks from the first time I've tried them until today.

Review | Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Strawberry Wash-Off Mask

Sunday, 17 July 2016

Few months ago, I got my hands on the Rice variant from this Capsule Recipe Pack wash-off pack line from Innisfree and as you probably know, I love brightening skincare especially in mask category hence, I picked up this Strawberry variant.

Review | Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Rice Sleeping Pack

Monday, 28 March 2016

If there's one skincare item that I must bring during travel, it would be a sleeping mask. Even better, a sleeping mask that's already packed in small container that can last 2 to 3 times of usage so I don't have to bring the full-sized or huge tub with me. I've had one or two products from Laneige and Etude House respectively but I always love to try new ones but this time, I've received 5 or 6 of these after making purchase at local Innisfree store and after the first usage, I went back to the store to get some more.

Review: TheFaceShop Real Nature Kiwi Jelly Mask Pack

Sunday, 28 June 2015
Salam and annyeong my lovelies! The weather has started to be really hot right now as we're approaching Summer season. Though Malaysia is a tropical country where it's sunny all year around but believe me, from May till July, it's hotter than any other months hence more rain in the evening. Well, though it's hot, I love rainy season. hehe

Anyway, let's get onto the review! Today I'll be reviewing this wash-off mask from TheFaceShop - a favourite brand of mine of all time, Real Nature Kiwi Jelly Mask Pack.

I've actually tried its sister product in apple (exfoliating) and strawberry (moisturizing and soothing) and finally among the three variants, I have found my favourite, Wanna know more? Keep on reading!

Review: TheFaceShop Smart Peeling: White Jewel Peeling

Sunday, 21 June 2015
Hello, beautiful people! Can you feel the weather is getting hot right now? I drank like 3 big bottle of water last night and still feeling thirsty!

Anyway, with the weather is hot I really think that dead skin cells are piling up faster than usual as I always find my makeup doesn’t really adhere to my skin and sometimes I can feel that my sleeping mask isn’t working like it used to.

What could be the solutions? Well, I think the easiest way to lessen the problem first hand is to exfoliate. But then again, exfoliating everyday would not be good so I guess I’m going to exfoliate regularly but mildly at the same time.

These are among the exfoliating products that I have been rotating for the past few weeks and I have to say, I’m loving all of them. As I’ve already done reviews on that Etude House Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub and Skinfood Black Sugar Gold Special Edition Wash-Off Mask, today I’m going to do one on this peeling product from one of my favourite Korean beauty brand, The Face Shop which is this White Jewel Peeling from the Smart Peeling cleansing line.

Talk about peeling products, some of you may know what kind of product it is but to those who doesn’t, let me tell you a little bit about it. Peeling gels are one type of chemical exfoliators that somehow take off layers of outermost dead skin cells by chemical means and some known products contained AHA in them that helps in the exfoliating process. Most Korean Beauty Company have in their line of products. You may think this method is harsh like using scrubs that sometimes can be abrasive to most people but peeling gels are usually gentle on skin.

The Face Shop Smart Peeling: White Jewel Peeling – that… was mouthful actually. :D

Review: Skinfood Black Sugar 10th Anniversary Gold Special Edition Wash-Off Mask

Sunday, 18 January 2015
Everyone, annyeong~ It's been awhile since my last post as I'm going through a busy week, trying to register my subjects for next semester.. T___T

Anyway, today, I'll be reviewing another product from Skinfood, which is a limited version of their famous Black Sugar Wash-Off Mask, in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary of the Black Sugar formulation.

I think it's been about a year since the last time I reviewed products from this brand and that's probably because I don't really buy from local Skinfood stores as they RARELY have sale... well, that was last year so hopefully it'll be merrier this year for this brand.

I actually went to KLCC boutique couple weeks ago to buy some mask sheets only to find that even the latest mask sheet they have is gonna expired within 2 months. Shocked, I left the store after grabbing some nose strips. *shaking my head*

Dark brown and gold~ definitely my favourite colour combo!

Review: Etude House Magic Bubble Peeling: Brush Peeling Foam

Thursday, 15 January 2015
Salam and annyeong, my lovely readers! I'm sorry for the slowly update as I'm in the middle of my vacation, possibly the last one for a long time in the future. Sigh.

I've been writing several drafts so hopefully I'll get into posting mood soon so I can share lots of posts with you guys. hehe

Here goes my first review of 2015!

On those days that I'm not really in the mood to do facial scrub, I'll go for peeling products instead. It's important to keep your skin from accumulation of dead skin cells.

I actually tried other sister products of this one which are the Creamy Peeling Wash and O2 Water Peeling Pack. So far, I really like the latter as it works better compared to the former. Let's see if it'll still remain as my favourite among the three items!

Review: TonyMoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack

Thursday, 17 July 2014
Annyeong, lovelies! Excited for this upcoming weekend? For me I'm going to be busy preparing for the upcoming individual presentation.. hmm.. typical uni stuffs~

Anyway, today I'll be doing a long-postponed review of this product that I've been using for about at least 5 times I think, which is this Tomatox Magic Massage Pack from TonyMoly. This is the first product that I got from the brand actually.

The above view of the jar. Looks like real tomato, isn't, it?

Honestly, I do think that this product has been reviewed many times by other bloggers before but I decided to still share my opinions on this very product as I know different people experience different things with the same product.

Review: TheFaceShop Volcanic Clay Blackhead Clay Nose Pack

Tuesday, 17 June 2014
Lovelies, annyeong! How's your week so far? It's only about a week before the semester break ends and I'm going to be busy with packing up my stuffs to move into a new room by the end of this week. Anyone wanna come and help? hehehe

Anyway, today I'm going to do a product review on a nose pack that I've been using for about a month right now, which is Volcanic Clay: Blackhead Clay Nose Pack from TheFaceShop.

Written on the front of the tube: There are volcanic activities in New Zealand Rotorua area. This activity creates hot Mud Spots. New Zealand Rotorua Mud is one of the best three muds in the world!

The Mud contains: Pore Clear Agent and Natural Mineral

If you don't know (I rather doubt it), a nose pack is basically a product that can help in removing your blackheads and whiteheads just like the nose strips but instead of strips, it comes in semi-liquid form that you apply on your nose area and if you want, your chin area as well.

Packaging:

The product comes in this soft teal in colour plastic tube and as you can see in the first photo, it's quite small compared to regular cleansing foam tubes.

When I first bought it last March, this product was wrapped in plastic wrapper and as you can see from above right photo, there's a label saying its imported by local company and this was sold in local TheFaceShop store.

Like most beauty products, you need to use it right after dispensed and can be used up within 12 months.

another good thing about the packaging, this product was sealed before opened.

it has this very nice cap as it locks in the product quite well. This is important in order to keep product fresh and not dried up.

Verdict:

That's usually the amount of product that I usually use each time. As I have some blackheads on my chin area as well, I applied the product there.

leave it on for like 15 minutes before peeling it off starting from the edge.

That's how the product looks like once it dried up. Peel it off carefully.

I would say, this nose pack works better compared to my previous nose pack also from the same brand. it doesn't leave me with itchiness at least. As I've been regularly use this nose pack so my blackheads and white heads aren't that much compared to before.

This product comes with several other products in the same Volcanic Clay line and I actually grabbed its sister product which is a scrub that need to be used before applying this nose pack. But in my opinion, it still works okay even without it. But give it a try if you want even better result.

Final verdict: 4/5. I like it and definitely will repurchase. This product is retailed at only RM22.90 if I'm not mistaken.

I think that's all from me. What do you think of the product? Will you give it a try? Do you prefer nose pack or nose strip? Tell me by leaving comments below! :D

Until next post! Annyeong!!

Review: TheFaceShop Real Nature Strawberry Sherbet Mask Pack

Tuesday, 3 June 2014
Lovelies, annyeong! How's your week so far? It's been boring these days as for me, either watching drama I'll just updating my SNS all day... I guess tomorrow I need to find something to do.. like doing some sketches or taking photos around the campus? Hmm..

Anyway, today I'm going to share about a wash-off mask pack from TheFaceShop, which is the Strawberry Sherbet Mask Pack from the Real Nature line.

I actually tried the sister product in apple like 6 months ago so do check out the review here.

Review: Etude House Moonlight in Spoon: Blending Sleeping Cream in Royal Jelly

Sunday, 20 April 2014
Annyeong, lovelies! How are you? I'm sorry for not being able to update so much these days as I've been busy with assignments.

Anyway today is just gonna be a quick review on this product that I tried I think I last week as I've been lack of sleep so extra care during night time is something that I've been giving attention to.

Moonlight in Spoon Blending Sleeping Cream in Royal Jelly. Whao~ still the most mouthful product's name ever!

Packaging:

'Firm and Moist' just scream to me like "Mira! Come to mama!" hahaha lame~

Overall, the packaging is the same as others from the same line like Rose Hip that I previously reviewed. Yellow is definitely royal jelly. hehe

Product description:
This is a Blending Sleeping Cream containing Royal Jelly extract, Lavender Flower Leaf and Stem Extract, Chamomile and Mint.
Blend together Sleeping Cream's golden herb water-gel and richly nourishing cream contents to deeply moistuirise and firm skin overnight for a bright moonlight-like complexion.

Be sure to check the manufacturing date on the packaging. :)

Royal Jelly!
Royal jelly contains amino acids which is also a basic ingredient in collagen, which is essential in maintaining the skin's firmness by supporting the skin's connective tissue. Because of its ability to aid in supporting this tissue, royal jelly often helps to reverse the effects of aging in the skin by eliminating brown spots, also known as "age spots," as well as wrinkles.

Before and after blending.

How to use:
Squeeze paper cover to slightly open up and remove enclosed spoon.
Remove sealing cover slowly starting from the end of spoon handle
Break off the spoon from pack container and evenly blend together golden herb water-gel and cream with spoon's smaller end.
Pick up blended Sleeping Cream with hands and apply evenly a certain amount onto face.
Wear overnight and rinse off with lukewarm water the next morning.

Texture and Scent:
As expected, the texture is the same as Rose Hip, as it's quite thick and creamy. The product doesn't absorbed into my skin quickly as I have to wait like half an hour before I can go to sleep.
The scent though is quite pleasing. Really nice and soothing.

Final verdict: 4.5/5. I love this variant as well as I remember waking up with firm and smooth skin the next morning.

Why not full score? Because it's quite pricey. RM9.90 per item is expensive if you ask me. Which is why I guess I'm going to opt for the one in jar instead of this. But of course, it's always fun to try new products for one time or for travel.

Will I repurchase? Of course. If there's sale in local Etude House store here in Malaysia like Buy 1 Free 1 or something. hehe

I think that's all for this review. Do share if you guys tried this variant, okay! I do want to know your favourite sleeping mask as well.

I'll see you guys next post, au revoir!

Review: Etude House Magic Bubble O2 Water Peeling Pack

Friday, 18 April 2014
Annyeong! How's your week so far? I've been busy as always but I just finished up my design drawings so I guess I can do a review of a product that I got last January

I think I remember seeing Dara's face on a poster of this product. If so, it's released somewhere in 2011-2012.

Papaya Extract: water, rich in Vitamin A and C, exfoliating dead skin cells
Oxygen: skin cleansing, making the skin clearer.

Packaging:

As you can see, the product comes in this soft purple bottle with similar packaging as its sister product that I reviewed here

Simple and cute. :)

No worries as there's Product Description on the lower part of the bottle.

Formulated with AHA and O2 water, this 2-in-1 brightening mask pack and exfoliator refines skin texture and tone for smooth, healthy radiance, it improves penetration of skincare due to removal of dead skin cells.

How to use:
Massage a generous layer onto damp skin.
Wait 5 minutes, until full froth forms.
Rinse well with water.
Use 1-2 times a week.

The blue coloured fonts said "Water bubble type, contains Papaya extract.
Pack combination peeling."

Use right after dispensed, products can be used within 12 months after opened.

The manufacturing date is printed at the bottom part of the bottle. Shelf life is 3 years unopened.

The product comes with a pump. It's nice and easy to use.

As you can see on the left, the product is in almost transparent white gel. it does run a bit. It smells like lemon a bit, kind of refreshing scent.

Verdict:

First, massage the product onto skin for about a minute.

Then leave it for about 5-6 minutes until the froth of bubble formed.

Just wash-off with water and voila! Can you see the difference. :)

Honestly, I do like this product. It's mild and doesn't irritate at all. After wash, I don't remember any 'tight' feeling on my skin, which is good and I could say this works.

If you're looking for a mild peeling product then I guess this is for you. Maybe it's because I'm used to Skinfood Wash-Off masks that are quite grainy so yeah, this is pretty mild for me. For a change of mood, I guess this works for me.

Waiting for 5 minutes for the bubble to form is quite interesting sensation on my skin. It's a little ticklish. But it's not really a big deal.

I think I like this compared to the its sister product that I mentioned above.

One thing that I don't like about the packaging is the ingredients list isn't printed on it. Maybe it's on the plastic cover that I thrown away. Not sure. huhu

Final verdict: 4/5. But will I repurchase? Yes. But you guys know me, right? I always love trying out new product. hehehe

I think the price for this product is around RM90 but I don't think I paid that price. I think I grabbed this at marked down price at Etude House branch in Berjaya Times Square, KL. haha that I remember. LOL

Okay, I think that's all for this review.

Have you tried any similar product? Do tell, yeah?

I'll see you guys next post.

Au revoir!

Review: Skinfood Black Sugar Strawberry Wash-Off Mask

Saturday, 22 March 2014
Annyeong! How was your week so far? It's been really exhausting these days as it's examination week before we're gonna enjoy mid semester break next week. :)

Anyway, if you remember my December Haul, you guys probably knew that I got this interesting Black Sugar Strawberry Wash-Off Mask from the Christmas Set that includes the Black Sugar Perfect First Serum that I reviewed previously.

Packaging:

Like the Skinfood best seller product, Black Sugar Wash-Off Mask, or most of the wash-off masks from Skinfood, this one too comes in white-capped, almost transparent tub.

Review: Etude House Moonlight in Spoon: Blending Sleeping Cream in Rosehip

Friday, 21 March 2014
Annyeong! Ah~ These days I can feel that my skin is slightly under the weather. huh? Is that the word? Well, with the stress and whatnot.. Sigh~

With that, I decided to go through my stashes of products in my drawer and looked for this! hehe~

Moonlight in Spoon Blending Sleeping Cream in Rose Hip from Etude House.
Whoa~ that was mouthful.. I think this is one product that has the longest name!

Anyway, this one is for 'Bright and Moist'. Definitely something that I need as I kinda feel my skin is a bit dry these days. :)

As you guys can see the above photo, there's illustration of the rose hip.
Wanna see a real one?

If you're a big fan of Victoria Secret Angel's Miranda Kerr, I bet you heard she mentioned about how she used Rose Hip oil to achieve that glowing complexion. It's actually been in practice since ancient time (I read somewhere it was during the time of Egyptian, even Mayans) that they've been using Rose Hip oil for healing purposes.

Product Description:
This is a Blending Sleeping Cream containing Rose hip extract (Rosa Canina Flower Oil), Lavender, Chamomile, and Mint.
'Blend together Sleeping Cream' is a (mix of) golden herb water-gel and rich nourishing cream (that contain ingredients that can) moisturise skin overnight for a lucid, bright moonlight-like complexion.

There's the manufacturing date. Be sure to check before buying.

There's also illustration on how to use the product. Ah, totally cute! :)

Basically, what you need to do in order to use the product is to take out the spoon inside and as shown below, be careful while tearing the plastic cover because you might spill the product inside.

Break the handle part and use it to blend in the transparent gel. To my understanding, the gel is the one that's provide moisture while the coloured gel is the one that contained the extracts.

Blend well, as you can see here the rose-coloured gel has became less pinkish, which also means you can start applying it on your skin.

Do remember not to apply using the spoon, as it's quite sharp.

Texture and Scent:
The texture, as expected is creamy and I have to say that I was expecting it to be absorbed quickly but it just didn't. So the the consistency is quite heavy or thick as I need to wait for about 20 minutes to half an hour before it absorbed into my skin. As it's said that this is a sleeping cream, I guess it's natural for it to be slightly thicker than my usual sleeping mask that I'm using.

The scent is lovely, I have to be honest. Well, apart from loving anything that has sakura in it, I also love rose-scented items so this sleeping cream, as it's rose-kinda-scented, I love it. Indeed, as it contains chamomile, the scent is soothing me, helped me relaxed a bit.

The amount of product which is 6g is a lot for me but to my knowledge, I have to use the whole thing, or if you guys have fridge, I think it's better to use half portion of the product. Well, the usual amount of product for sleeping mask is 3 to 4g anyway. Even better, just share with your roommate! :)

This is a sleeping cream or mask I should say so just leave it on and continue with washing it off the next morning.

Final verdict: 4.5/5. I absolutely love this variant. if you need a quick fix, put this on for about 5 to 6 hours while sleeping before going on with daily activities is enough to rejuvenate your skin and give you the healthy glow that you want. Though the effect is temporary. But then again, who knows what this product could do if you integrate it into your skincare routine? :) So yeah, if I need extra treatment for my skin, this is one of the things that I'll go for.

Why not full score? Because it's quite pricey. RM9.90 per item is expensive if you ask me. Which is why I guess I'm going to opt for the ones in jar instead of this. But for travelling purposes, or for girls' slumber party, this is great.

Will I repurchase? Absolutely.

I guess that's about it. I hope this review can help you decide whether to get this or not. Or.. if you want need extra info on this product. :)

Tell me if you have tried it, are you gonna repurchase it? What's your favourite sleeping mask? Do share.

Until next post, au revoir!
