Review | Althea X Titi Kamal Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist

Thursday, 10 January 2019

When it comes to body fragrance, I have many types of perfumes; from the lightest body mists to the thickest perfume oils and most of my fragrances are vanilla-scented if not floral except Jasmine which I cannot tolerate no matter what form the flower comes in; teas, scented candles even air-freshener therefore when Althea announced their first product for their body care line; Stay Fresh would be a body mist made off mixed scents of fruit and floral, I'm all in! Introducing the new Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist, a delightful concoction of floral and fruity notes indeed but first, let's go to basic details of this perfume.

Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist

Product Description:
  • Althea x Titi Kamal collaboration fragrance
  • A lightweight feminine scented body mist
  • Has fruity and floral notes featuring orange, peach and rose

Ingredients highlight:

  • Damask Rose water - keeps the skin hydrated
  • Orange Flower Extract - Refreshes the senses
  • Elder flower extract - Cools and soothes the skin while giving out feminine scent.

How to Use:
Spritz all over the body in a light layer before you head out the door. Take with you in your handbag or purse and use as fits your lifestyle.

Ingredients:
Alcohol, Water, Glycerin, Fragrance, Pentylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sambucus Nigra Flower Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Extract, Magnolia Liliflora Flower Extract, Plumeria Rubra Flower Extract, Lilium Tigrinum Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin

Now, let's talk about the packaging!

This perfume didn't come in a box and was wrapped with plastic instead. The bottle is like a regular plastic bottle with that cheap-looking pump but to me, it's fine as long as it's working. With rose being the base note for this body mist hence the brand went with roses being illustrated on the bottle itself. The pink hues are indeed cute and looks so pretty next to the serum facial cleanser that Althea sent me.

There's no English product description printed on the product itself as everything is in Korean but rest assured as you can find all the information you need on Althea website which I've linked below.

The product expiry date is printed at the bottom of the bottle and as you can see in the above photo and the format is YYYYMMDD.

APPLICATION

I'm pretty sure you guys know how to use a body mist but if you don't, no worries! I used to complain to my mum to get me at least Eau de Toilette body perfumes as body mists last like 2 seconds with me until I learned that we're supposed to spray directly on our body instead of clothes. Boy, I was so wrong! Although, I have to point out that body mists mostly contain lots of alcohol so if your skin is sensitive to it or you just prefer no-fragrance fragrance then it's better to opt for water-based perfumes or Eau Fraiche; fresh water.

The scent is fruity for the first few minutes then the rose scent just filled me subtly, not overpowering at all unlike most affordable body mists in the market that just turn me off with overly strong scent either too fruity or too floral to my liking. I usually apply the body mist first thing after going out of shower and then put on my clothes before spraying few times all over me while twirling and dancing around to make sure the mist goes on well.... just kidding! Not the dancing part though. hahaha

I know the bottle is actually pretty lightweight and easy to carry around but the 100ml sized bottle is still pretty big to me so I'm going to find a small bottle to transfer some of the product into or maybe I should just transfer the facial mist instead. I'll update you guys on my Instagram Stories for that.

Overall, it's a nicely-scented body mist; the fact that my body reacts negatively with fruity body products kind of worries me initially but I'm glad the bursts of fruity scents balanced well with the rosy scent so all is good! To be honest, when I first saw the word "Sparkling" on the name of the product, I was worried if there's going to be glitters or shimmers in the body mist therefore thank God, no.

Blogger Mail | Althea X Titi Kamal Collaboration and Dual-Use Facial Cleanser

Saturday, 29 December 2018

I guess receiving another lovely blogger mail from Althea is one of the ways to end 2018 with a bang! There are two products included in the blogger mail; a facial cleanser and a body fragrance that the brand created through a collaboration with famous Indonesian actress, singer, Titi Kamal! I know her from my favourite Indonesian movie; Ada Apa Dengan Cinta and of course, its sequel! Obviously, Titi is much more beautiful than over 15 years ago since the first movie so it's such a lovely collaboration I'd say!

As for the facial cleanser, it has serum-like consistency, I guess? It's indeed the first time I've encountered such product so I'm actually excited to see its capabilities in removing makeup or as morning cleanser, maybe? By the way, don't you think that these two products look great side by side? I think the colours complement each other  so well!

Both products are already available to purchase on Althea; links are down below and if you're new to Althea and planning to purchase more than RM150, use my link (click here!) for 20% discount off your first purchase!

I guess that's all for now and I'll be seeing you guys on my next post. Annyeong~

Review | My Burberry Eau de Parfum by Burberry

Thursday, 25 August 2016

The rainy season has started and I'm more than elated as it's my favourite season. The coldness, the smell after the rain, fresh grass, drinking hot green tea while watching the rain hitting the window glass... why am I being so dramatic right now? So basically, this perfume has embodied everything I love about the season into one beautiful bottle.

Beauty Haul | ZOEVA and Solinotes Paris

Sunday, 12 June 2016
I guess it goes without saying that ever since I started working in an office environment, I've been wearing makeup like everyday. The past 2 months was all about adjusting to new environment, new routine and the need to wear makeup to work has gradually increased from week 1 to week 9.

As I never really have proper makeup routine or set an everyday makeup look, I went on research on basic daily office makeup and one thing that came out the most was pulling a natural look i.e. natural eyeshadow colours, natural looking base foundation, and the need to have proper scent or perfume on you throughout the day.

Review | Solinotes Fleur de Cerisier Eau de Toilette

Saturday, 13 February 2016
Annyeong, beautiful people~ No matter how happy I am while writing this post, it's been raining almost everyday for the past week and it was really hard to get enough sunshine while taking photos.

I finally managed to take numbers of photos I can use so without further ado, let's get right into it!

First of all, have you get your hands on this February's FEMALE Magazine? I've been a subscriber for more than 5 years (sadly have to leave my 2-year i.e. like 20+ magazines at uni when I came back home), I have to say, when they revealed their first magazine after a huge makeover back in November, I feel in love with FEMALE more. But then, when I saw the cover of this month's issue, I'm totally blown away!

If you know me personally, you'd know that I never wear anything pink but I have unconditional love towards Japanese Sakura or cherry blossom. I was 10 when I started to outgrown pink-coloured stuffs and suddenly, after more than 15 years that shade of pink just scream, Spring is here! Though the colour probably started to seep in through Etude House haul last month but boy, I want some more.

It's the month of February and other than Chinese New Year promotions at everywhere, there's also also Valentine's Day promotions so when I received an email from Sephora Malaysia regarding their in-store fragrance promo, I went to the store to see what are the options.

I was actually kinda curious when I saw xxzyro's post last week so I was praying really hard to see my desired scents from the fragrance line which includes Vanille, Musc being displayed on shelf and then, I saw it. The last bottle of Solinotes Fleur de Cerisier with other 2 variants, Fleur d'Oranger and Jasmin.

Review | The Body Shop White Musk Fragrances

Tuesday, 29 October 2013
Here I am at the airport after spending 4 crazy days at home, catching up with my family and friends. God, I miss them already. Anyway, I would like to share with you guys about one thing (well, among many things) that me and mom have in common. Yes, it's The Body Shop White Musk fragrances.

We both love all kinds of perfume and while we both ventured into so many other perfumes, we always come back to this collection. Restocked again and again. I'm always a big fan of Nina Ricci but I only wear those on special occasion. But for everyday at my university, this is my go-to fragrances.

Launched in 1981, White Musk® is a world first and a landmark for the fragrance industry – the first cruelty-free musk fragrance to arrive on the market. The fragrance pioneered the use of synthetic musk in replacement of real musk which is extracted from the civet deer using cruel and painful methods. The Body Shop has given their best selling fragrance a sensational, uber-stylish makeover.

I think I saw the above poster somewhere last year. Feminine and sensual. Just love it. Let's start with the first product I'm hooked onto, which is it's basic White Musk® Eau de Toilette.

A groundbreaking cruelty-free product. Our original, iconic White Musk® was one of the first ever fragrances to use man-made musk rather than musk taken from deer. Notes of velvety musk, floral lily and sensual ylang ylang with hints of fresh galbanum and basil - combined to create the sensual top notes, provide the initial scent of the fragrance and awaken and stimulate the senses. Notes of velvety musk, oriental jasmine, floral lily and rose - combine to create the feminine heart notes and are the dominant notes of the fragrance. 100% Vegetarian and Choose Cruelty-Free Beauty.

Above is taken from the official website and from my point of view, I totally agreed. Jasmine, Lily and Rose. Three of my favourite flowers. In one bottle of my favourite perfume. Perfecto! As this one lasts for about 4 to 6 hours so if I have classes all day, I'll opt for the White Musk® Perfume Oil instead.

This one is the iconic White Musk® fragrance in concentrated perfume oil. It lasts for about 8 hours and I usually put this on my wrist and behind my ears. Oh, one of the reason why I love this perfume oil above all others, it contains no alcohol.

Ever since I'm into skin care products, I started to layer my fragrances as well. So usually after shower, I will use my White Musk® Smooth Satin Body Lotion.

After finishing my The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Lotion, I bought this one in 250ml  but this also comes in 400ml. Of course, 400ml is too big for me to travel back and forth with from home to university. So 250ml is more than sufficient. Oh, actually it also comes in travel sizes of 60ml. Love those miniatures!

I love this body lotion so much cause it moisturizes my skin leaving it smooth and soft. The scent stays for about 2 to 4 hours without layering with perfumes. The texture is also great as it is non-sticky and but it usually took about 10 to 15 minutes for it to be absorbed into my skin.

Another addition to my body lotion is the White Musk® Voluptuous Velvet Body Creme. Again, I have finished the big 200ml tub, so I bought this travel friendly 50ml small tub and instead of using it for my whole body, I just use this targeting areas like my elbows, ankles, knees and hands.

It has a slightly thicker consistency than the lotion which I actually love. Having the same scent, but buttery. Well, it contains Community Fair Trade shea butter from Ghana. This gives me 24 hours hydration, and as it hydrates my skin, it leaves my skin soft and smooth. A total go-to hydrating body cream.

On those nights when I have to attend short tutorials and discussion with studio mates, I'll go for my White Musk® Fragrance Mist.

On it's own, it can lasts for about 2 to 3 hours. So, if I need to refresh myself instantly I'll just spray this on. It has watery light consistency.

So, that's my White Musk® Fragrance collections. Like I said, I have so many other perfumes but I always come back to this one. Simply wonderful.

Have you guys tried any of these fragrances before? What is your favourite perfume of all time? Do share your experience with me cause I would love to experiment with new perfumes like ALL the time.

Until next post, annyeong~
