Review | My Burberry Eau de Parfum by Burberry

Thursday 25 August 2016

The rainy season has started and I'm more than elated as it's my favourite season. The coldness, the smell after the rain, fresh grass, drinking hot green tea while watching the rain hitting the window glass... why am I being so dramatic right now? So basically, this perfume has embodied everything I love about the season into one beautiful bottle.

Packaging:

Now the one that I bought comes in this box, this sturdy, so pretty but real heavy box that it almost being thrown out of my luggage on my way back from KL last year.

It's in that soft brown box with the name of the perfume printed on the box, tied with that ribbon. Totally give off a luxury feeling.

For your information, My Burberry is available as 30, 50, 90 and huge 900ml (which worth around RM10,000!) Eau de Parfum accompanied with perfumed body care products; a shower oil, deodorant, body soaps which in my set; a body mist.

The beautiful, prettily labeled bottle of My Burberry is made of glass, with a stopper inspired by the button of a Burberry trench coat. There's the brand name carved at the inner rim.

The main color is honey-beige, which is taken from the cult Burberry trench. The neck of the bottle features a ribbon made of the same fabric as the trench from a factory in Castleford, Yorkshire.

Do you see how's the concept is going? Imagine you're puttin on the trench coat, covering yourself with it, it's like how you're wearing this perfume. Spraying it onto you, then you're covered with the scent... I just love the continuity!

As for the body mist, it comes in 100ml. I'm amazed at the nozzle as the mist sprayed out so fine and I believe it falls onto much bigger area on my body compared to regular a nozzle.

Now, let's talk about the scent. The top notes are kind of fruity but floral at the same time. There's a hint of freshness as well. The middle notes, which I can smell like after 3 to 4 hours of wear, is more floral rather than fruity, I do think there's Gardenia which I'm familiar thanks to a Gardenia hand cream I had before. As for the base notes, I definitely can tell that it's musk with hint of rose. Well, if you know me, I always love musk and vanilla as base for my perfumes.

I usually wear this perfume to work or meeting with clients as I just love how this perfume gives me that "proper" or formal sense. It stays a long time and if I were to stay in the office all day, this stays with me throughout the whole time. One or two spritz is enough.

If you're also a follower of this perfume like me, you should properly know that this perfume has been given an upgrade or a newer version or to be specific, a Black version. I haven't got my hands on it yet as so far it's only available in Burberry counter in KLCC if I'm not mistaken (or probably in Pavilion KL, let me know if you have info on this) but I'm assuming it's more intense than this one as that's how I see in other brands, talk about White Musk the Black version and Salvatore Ferragamo Misteriosa.

Let me know what do you think of this perfume and do share if you have have a luxury perfume in your collection.

Until next post, annyeong~
