Review | Aritaum X Sticky Monster Lab Babyface Mist: Collagen

Monday, 1 February 2016

Lovelies, annyeong~ How was your weekend? With Chinese New Year is just around the corner, there are sales everywhere so do check out the promotions via Facebook and online shopping sites as well and spend wisely!

So yes, finally! First in-depth review in 6 months and 2016! :D It's been a long time but yeah~ I'm getting more pickier of products that I want to review... most probably the case but then I was also pretty much occupied with so many things and most of the time I just wanna lay on bed doing nothing these days.. but one of my New Year resolutions is to post more updates so without further ado, let's get right into it!

As you probably know, I'm kinda obsessed with facial mist. You don't? You can read all about it here. It just happened that I received this product from Major B which is Aritaum Babyface Mist in Collagen, a limited edition item from the brand's collaboration with Sticky Monster Lab.

Beauty Favourites | January

Sunday, 31 January 2016
Hello, beautiful people! How's your weekend so far? Mine's not so great as after doing some work around the house this morning, I needed to rush to the city to meet several clients and that's something I don't like doing especially when I've made plans to attend my garden... and of course, I was just taking some photos for review before the text came into my phone. Totally ruined my mood~

But still, I decided to move on with the plan even though it's almost 6 in the morning (I just got up and felt so determined to do this post as I have been planning, doing the drafts, took photos... and now I have 3 shots of coffee on hand... Let's get right into it~

Beauty Haul | Etude House

Saturday, 30 January 2016
There are SO many sales going on especially few weeks before Chinese New Year and I just can't help my self to do some shopping and I swear to God that it all started merely with wanting to get a new mascara.

I have to say, I got some of these items from local Etude House stores here in Malaysia while some other products from stores in Seoul via personal shoppers.

Beauty Haul | Sephora

Thursday, 28 January 2016
Without realizing, January is about to end. WHAT? Feels like it's only been few days since we celebrated the New Year i.e. New Year shopping and to be honest, for beauty, I didn't really get a lot of things as all I've been doing throughout 2015 was finishing my beauty hauls from 2014. Yep! That much! ~not proud of it!

As I decided to be on No-Buy ban for skincare throughout the year, I started to get some makeup instead. Truth is, I'm not really that impressed with many things for Korean makeup items so for the past 2 years, I didn't really get much of stuffs apart from base products which not a lot of them actually being used throughout the time I own them as I'm quite tanned to begin with (talk about limited BB cream shades) so not a lot of Korean makeup items that are suitable to my skin tone.

Hence, begin my journey in Sephora.

I first mentioned my first purchase from Sephora back in 2014 where I purchased several NYX products and boy, I've been doing lots of research on products available at the store since then.

The thing about stuffs sold at Sephora is, it's easy to find reviews on YouTube and blogs. Though there are many other brands are not carried by Sephora Malaysia, there are still lots of products that are fun to try (which is awesome by the way) at the store and doing swatches on my lips, face and body are like a habit whenever I'm in Sephora. Do you know that you can actually bring (or just buy at the travel section) pots to sample the products like foundation and whatnot? Though I usually just ask any available makeup artist to just do a demo on me, have you done that personally? Let me know.

So yeah~ here I want to talk about the stuffs I got for the past year (it's a long period, I know!) from Sephora Malaysia.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in J'Adore | RM100

Though NARS is my first high-end makeup brand ever, I couldn't really get my hands on any of the products after I came back to Sabah and that's how Marc Jacobs came into the picture. Huh? Why so dramatic?? LOL But that's the ultimate truth. Why can't NARS have a pop-up store here in Imago? I really really in love with Le Marc lipstick formulation, totally comparable to my NARS Anita and as both came in black and sleek cases, I now love both of them equally. :D

Marc Jacobs (P)outliner in Prime Rose | RM85

After discovering lip liners from Essence, I kept asking myself, why in heaven did I get this? But honestly, Essence lip liners are quite drying my lips especially when I do that Kylie lips thing but I could totally replace my lipsticks and use this lip liner on my whole lips instead. It's quite buttery for me and not drying though I need to use a lot every time I wanna do whole lips thing so for now, I'm sticking to its original function as lip liner. It also can really go with any lipstick colour I have.

Review | Mediheal x LINE Friends E.G.T Time Tox Ampoule Mask

Tuesday, 26 January 2016

I think 2016 is gonna be a year when I'm going to start to integrate anti-aging, anti-wrinkle or all sorts of aging-fighting products into my skincare routine and I actually don't know where to start so I just did what I usually do when I want to try new kinds of products or from a certain brand. It's such a happiness that I encountered a brand called Mediheal and I'm glad as the first few products I've tried are just great.

If you didn't know Mediheal, it's a brand founded in a prestigious medical beauty school in Seoul University, Korea. So far they have released several types of sheet masks focusing various skin issues like lack of moisture, dullness and and of course, aging skin. Though they don't have official English website, you can check out the Hong Kong brand website as all the contents are in English here

Blogger Mail | Major B

Sunday, 24 January 2016

Hello, lovely people! How's your Sunday so far? Mine is great! Just finished doing laundry and cleaning up the kitchen~ haha sorry for blabbing away like this! :p

If you noticed, this post was part of the previous post but I decided to separate them and give deeper insight on unboxing the box I received from Major B.

Anyway, let's go right into it!

So last week, if you saw my Instagram, I received a package from Major B. Yay~

The design of the box is so pretty! The colour is minty green and it does look like one of those box you get from Korean online shops or gift box at Korean stores. Yep, they're known for soft or pastel colours which are sooooo appealing to my eyes. The box also so sturdy that it didn't even changed its shape during delivery process well, thanks to the outer bubble wrap and plastic cover! I'm definitely gonna put this box a lot of use later on. Hehe

Just look at how the box 'greet' me!! Happiness unlocked, indeed! I'm so in love~ It feels like as if the online store being brought to life with that continuous use of that mint green colour from the online store to the beauty box.

As you can see above, these are the items sent to me. ^_______^

The theme: Moisturising, brightening and anti-aging products! Now, let's get into details. I'll make sure to update these with links when they're all available in the store.

Online Shopping | Major B

Sunday, 17 January 2016
Hello, beautiful people! What a lovely Sunday it is! Honestly, I've been planning to update my blog this weekend but yesterday was a bit chaotic in our house as we just finished doing a minor renovation on our backyard plus I had to attend a small occasion next door so right after I was done with yesterday, it was like 8 p.m. and I was already turning my lights off.

Anyway, this morning I woke up with several things on my mind and one of it is to keep my promise to my Instagram followers which is to update you guys about this new online store that was launched like last week so it's still new, but in my opinion, worth to check out.

Review | Innisfree Long Wear Cushion in No. 23 and No. 31

Saturday, 16 January 2016
I have to admit, if you saw my Instagram photo today, you'll know that I'm officially a cushion foundation addict. I've been practicing my skills on applying liquid foundations but there are days I'm on a hurry and can only afford to apply one thing before going out. Well, I can literally applying some lipstick while putting on my shoes so that doesn't count. haha

My first cushion foundation is from Etude House and the next ones are either from the Laneige, TheFaceShop, and of course, Innisfree. My main focus when it comes to my base makeup are usually sebum-control, matte finish and doesn't oxidise so much that my face either turned ashy or look orange.

Saying Goodbye to 2015

Wednesday, 30 December 2015
... And saying hello to 2016!

My dearest lovely people! How are you? Indeed, it's been a while since I last sit in front of my desktop and publish a post. Why? As there's so much I wanted to tell you all about it in here, the same amount of unwillingness keeps crawling on the tips of my fingers so long story short, I decided to take a bigger responsiblity as a member of this house, to take another job.

More work, hence more coffee~

I have to say, helping my parents with family business is quite a lot to digest under 6 months as I'm still (not really) new in the field, still overwhelmed with some things so I need to find a place (and time) where I can just be myself and do the things I love which is somethings that probably most of you who have been following my blog for quite sometime or you guys who know me personally, know so well - beauty related stuffs.

Throughout 2015, I only posted only small number of reviews and I didn't even update you guys with current promotions that went out throughout last year and that is caused by one thing only. I've been busy with adjusting myself with work.

After several months, I decided to challenge myself to do some serious routine where I learn to discipline myself better especially getting up early in the morning (like 6 a.m.) and being good at time management.

Innisfree is slowly growing on me~

I'm hoping that I can keep on going with this so I can really have time to put on reviews on products that I'm loving right now i.e. Monthly Favourite kinda post so I'd love to say thank you for those who kept on following me from 2013, and for those who just started reading posts on my blog, welcome! I hope you guys find my posts being helpful and don't be shy (I won't bite I promise!) to leave comments or suggestions for me to keep on improving myself at writing and posting maybe share some tips on how to keep on being motivated to do blogpost.

Till next post, annyeong~ ^_____^

MBD Style | 3 Handbags You Want to Flaunt At Work

Tuesday, 1 December 2015
Annyeong, my lovelies~ if you've been reading my blog for quite some time then you'll know that I always blog about skincare and makeup items so today I'm gonna share with you guys about one of the things about fashion that I've been obsessing about for the past few months since I started living in a working environment which is handbag

Everyone knows that a woman can never be caught without their handbag at their side when stepping out of the house. The handbags serve as an accessory for women to complete their outfit. As there are plenty types of handbags design in the market, some of the hardworking career ladies must be wondering which bag will look appropriate yet stylish to be carried to work? For the individuals who have no idea on the handbags that will boost your professional and sophisticated charm at the office can take a look at these three handbag selection.

Shoulder bag

The shoulder bag is the most common type of handbag that a majority of women style everywhere they go other than at work. It allows us to fit in our belongings from keys, cell phone, purse, sunglasses, make up and a little note pad. It is like a quick way to carry most of our stuffs and still acts as a fashion statement. Some women who prefer versatility will opt for the classic black or neutral coloured bags.

Doctor Satchel bag

For the ladies who are busy bringing work papers or files back and forth, the doctor satchel bag will be the perfect choice. The design is spacious which allows you to stuff in all those paper works you carry home and back to work without crumpling it. You can also fit your planner book and still have room for other important items your normally carry around with you.

Sling backpack

However, it cannot be denied that there are days when you just want to tone done the formal appeal and be a little laid back. The sling drawstring definitely looks great to carry to work and easier to handle but if you are one of those individuals who frequently take the public transport,  backpack will be a right selection as it's easier to secure while you're on LRTs or buses.

As for me, I'm kinda obsessed with backpack lately as not only it can fit A4-sized documents and files, I still have room for my beauty essentials like facial mist and other little things like lipstick and face powders. What's important before buying any kind of bag you wanna bring to work is to determine the stuffs you wanna bring to work and estimate the size of the bag that can fit all your stuffs. You don't want your bag looking like it's about to burst. hehe

So yeah, I think that's all about it! Hopefully you enjoy this post and do let me know if you have done "What's in Your Bag" post on your blog or your Instagram. Would love to check it out.

Until then, annyeong~
