Review | Banila Co. Clean it Zero Sherbet Cleanser

Friday 5 August 2016
Last month, I got an opportunity to work with Althea to spread the news on their celebration of their first birthday and I got the chance to pick up several items from the store. Some products are my personal favourite (I honestly don't have much time to scroll through the products that they're offering so I just went those) but this is the one product I've been eyeing to get for so long but as Banila Co. isn't available locally so this is just perfect.

Product Description:
  • All -in-One Cleansing & First Skincare
Soft sherbet-like formula provides a quick and easy cleansing without irritating the skin. it is also a first skincare tool to keep your skin in its best condition, giving multiple pre-skincare benefits of clearing impurities, tightening pores, rehydrating and softening skin.
  • Solution for Pore Care With Perfect Cleansing
Papaya extract naturally exfoliates and removes skin impurities. Its skin softening formula provides you with a multi solution for pore care as well.
  • Massaging Benefit & Hygienic Use
Rolling the formula using circular motions gives a gentle massaging benefit. It promotes better absorption of active ingredients into the skin. With the firm and viscous texture, it doesn't melt down easily as on contact with your fingers.

Function: A super whisk-away sherbet cleansing balm that perfectly removes heavy makeup with mild cleansing effect.

How to Use:
Use the spatula to take a small amount and massage gently in circular motions. Rinse well with lukewarm water or use tissue to wipe off the balm with gentle strokes.

Packaging:

The cleansing balm came in that pink box. The first time I saw the product till now, I don't remember it being repackaged but I do see jumbo sizes that have different design. I do like the simple design. If someone didn't know the product, they need to read through the product description to know what it does as you can't really tell from the product's name. Who can guess it's a makeup remover?

The regular size is 100ml and it's in that pink tub with a lid and spatula for hygienic reason. I love things that come with spatula as it's super convenient.

That's the sherbet-like cleansing balm and like its packaging, it's in light pink.

There's the expiry date printed at the bottom so just note down the date you opened the product and use within 12 months.

Using the product:

From left to right: black mascara, the toughest black eyeliner I have, a lip product that requires a lip makeup remover, and foundation with the thickest in formula I have in my base makeup collection.

I usually use that amount of product to remove all my makeup at one go. What I love the most is even if I placed some product on my face and walk around my room if I were looking for something, it won't run down on my face unlike cleansing cream, milk, and of course, oil.

I just have to massage everything altogether for about a minute or until all my makeup melted off. Please close your eyes while massaging your eye area to avoid the melted product goes into your eyes. It'll make your eyes blurry and somewhat stings.

Voila! Everything is gone! I usually just wipe everything off with a facial tissue and proceed with cleansing foam.

As this is the first time I'm using a cleansing balm, I can't really compare to it to other similar product but I can tell it's gonna be an absolute favourite of mine and I hereby give this product an HG status.

It cleanses well even the toughest mascara and eyeliner, doesn't leave me with dry feeling after wiping it off, much easier to use and double cleansing with a cleansing foam and the scent is nice.

This product is retailed at RM59 on Althea.kr. I don't know which is cheaper to use compared to other makeup removers so I have to see how many times or how long I can use with one tub.
