Review | Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ in Honey Beige and XOXO, Minnie Any Cushion Case

Monday 18 August 2014
Annyeong, lovelies! How's your weekend? Mine was all about recovering from exam so yeah, I'd spent some time with my girls as it's been a long time since we last hang out. Well, outside campus!

Anyway, today I'm going to do a review on this product that I bet most of you knew about as it isn't a new release from the brand. I boarded the Cushion trend quite late compared to others, but still. Better late than never, I guess.

Is it me or this is the 5th review on Etude House product this month!! XD

I've been working on this review since forever as I went through a bad breakout after trying a cleansing oil and except for sunscreens, I didn't wear makeups for like 2 weeks after that... so pardon the different background photo and lighting as I took them at different time and place.

Move on to the Product Description:

This cushion pact perfects all-day radiant and moist skin with its multi-function of brightening, wrinkle-reducing, sebum control and flawless coverage.

Net weight: 15g

Packaging:

As I only got myself the refill from LINE x Qoo10 shopping event, the product came in the packet instead of a box, unlike the full sizes. But yeah, it's in that white packet with pretty princess-themed deco on it.

As I compared the packaging to the ones that I saw in the internet, I think mine is the new 2014 repackaged version

Let's go to a little history. hehehehe

And above is the full-size version of the 2014 Edition. Credit on photo.

Oh, not forgetting this year's summer release, Lock 'N Summer Precious Mineral Proof Any Cushion.
Click on photos to go to respective sites.

On the side of the packet, there's product description and that long list of ingredients.
Got nothing to complain about. :)

Of course, the product comes with an air-puff, and it's nicely wrapped in a plastic. Nice!

A closer look on the product info at the bottom (yeah, it's in Korean as the seller shipped it from Korea and I scored a fresh batch as it was only about 3 months since it's manufactured) while on the left is a paper sticker covering the whole cushion area.

Here's a closer look on the air-puff. It looks the same as Laneige's BB Cushion but I'm not sure if the technology is the same. Well, both brand are under the same AmorePacific company so I couldn't help but assume.

Before I continue with the Cushion, let me review the case that I bought for it!

As I mentioned in my June Haul post, I asked an acquaintance of mine to buy this for me from the Korean store. Some of you may not know but XOXO, Minnie collection was released in South Korean store almost exclusively as it took some time before the online stores started to selling it.

But, yes. Though I'm not really a big fan of Minnie, it's still pretty to me. Minnie's signature bow that usually in red but in here is in pink. It spells Etude House all over it.

What's more, the huge mirror. I thought there's gonna be a gap between the case and the mirror but no. It's as huge as the cover i.e. the top part of the case.

Oh, I almost didn't notice the plastic covering the mirror. tehe~

So that's how the cushion fits into the case. No gaps between. It's a perfect fit.

Now, onto the verdict!

Like I mentioned in the title, I got mine in W24 Honey Beige. To me, it's actually slightly lighter than my skin tone but not to the point that I look like a ghost so yeah. Good enough for me.

The pores on the cushion are so fine and I really how I can control the amount of the product while tapping the puff on it.

On the left is my bare face (you don't wanna see my left side! Ugh!) while on the right is after I applied the product with double layer

I can say that this cushion gives me a natural finish, a little dewy if I may add, it also provides light to medium coverage with great sun protection (SPF 50+/PA+++), and a little bit of oil control. I remember reading that this product claims to have anti-wrinkle but I'm not sure whether I can vouch for that.

This product also helps in brightening our complexion as it contains Pearl Powder and Niacinamide.

The cooling, refreshing formula also aids in instant hydration, as I remember using it without moisturiser before as I was in a big hurry but the result is still the same for my combo skin. The lasting hours for me is about 3 to 4 hours but I don't mind that as it's really easy to just reapply it. :)

All in all, I love it! It's really budget-friendly, I got this for mere RM19.90 with free shipping that took only 2 weeks before arriving to my dorm. As for the case, I got it at RM34 so I'm assuming it's around 10,000KRW in South Korean store.

Final verdict: 5/5. Definitely repurchase! Well, for the refill. I think this could be one of those things that big sisters bought for their younger sisters as this is retailed at much affordable prices compared to Laneige's or IOPE's BB Cushion that the big sisters usually go for. hahaha great excuse, right? there's no way I'm getting my lil' sis a 40,000KRW BB Cushion!! Maybe when she's 18, yeah sure. XD

Ah, I also discovered this myself while I was playing around with the refills, the Laneige BB Cushion too can fit the XOXO, Minnie Any Cushion case. Isn't that great? :D

Phew! That's all about it! Hope you enjoy this post!

Do tell if you ever tried this product and share your thoughts on it.

Until next post, annyeong~

P.S.: I'm working on my Laneige BB Cushion review right now so to those who're waiting, stay tuned!
