Review | Etude House Real Art Mild Cleansing Oil

Wednesday 6 April 2016
I always assume that when a product kept being manufactured and sold in the market for a long time and every now and then it got repackaged is a sign that the product is a best seller and very popular among beauty enthusiasts so when I heard this oil-based makeup remover being featured in Get It Beauty some years ago, I went on a research and got my hands on it but as I have other makeup removers, only now I reached to a point where I'm allowed to open a new product.

Product Description:
This is a mild water-friendly type cleansing oil containing moisture retaining green tea seed extract and soothing chamomile extract, effectively removing makeup residue and skin impurities.

How to Use:
Apply appropriate amount of cleansing oil onto dry hands and gently smooth over dry face to dissolve makeup. Emulsify by adding water (the oil will turn milky while) then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polysorbate 85, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sorbitan Trioleate, Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Fragrance

Volume: 185ml.

The product came in that green and yellow plastic packaging. There are lots of other bottled products from Etude House being repackaged this way which is something I don't prefer as I love box packaging. There are 3 variants from this Real Art Cleansing Oil and I got a Mild one as I love anything soothing these days.

There's English product description for your convenience. Like other Korean beauty products, this product can be used within 12 months. Notice the distributor sticker? Yes, I got mine from local Etude House store here in Malaysia.

When I first opened the product, it's actually sealed with a plastic cover like that. Conveniently, it comes with a screw cap, a stopper and of course a pump. For long travel, I prefer to just use the cap to ensure there's no spilling but most of the time I'll just use the stopper.

At the back of the bottle, there's short product description in Korean. I can read them for sure but I do not understand entirely. Still learning the language~

There's manufacturing date printed at the bottom of the bottle. I bought this in January so I guess it's been a year it was sitting on the store shelf.

I used the heaviest foundation I have which is Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, my Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control, and the toughest waterproof eyeliner I have is from Kate. As you can see, after massaging the oil cleanser onto the makeup, it actually does remove all trace of it.

I noticed there's Green Tea extract in it which is so perfect for me as I love soothing products these days. I was just expecting for it not to be heavy (from the word Mild there) or at least can remove my heavy foundation. That Kate eyeliner is kinda hard to remove sometimes so I guess this is perfect as I don't have to use separate remover for my eyes.

That said, while using the product on my eyes, I carefully not to massage my eye area roughly and close my eyes while massaging my lids area. I do love somewhat refreshing scent though it's actually from the fragrance.

Final verdict: 4.5/5. All in all, this product is great just how I heard from the beauty show. I definitely recommend this as it does its job but the price offered at the store isn't really great as this retailed around RM100 but I got this during sale which is awesome! You can get this from their official website at USD16.60. (non-affiliate link). Will try to get my hands on other variants in the future.

So I guess that's all from me! Hopefully you enjoyed reading this post and let me know your thoughts by leaving comment down below.

Until next post, annyeong~
