Mask Review | Naruko Bunga Raya Snow White Ice-Cooling Mask

Friday 22 December 2017
On my previous post, I talked about how I'm loving daily sheet masks from affordable Taiwanese brand; Naruko and I actually tried another variant from this brand that I really like to the point of ordering the whole box for myself after trying one.

This time around, I'm going to share with you guys about this really cool sheet mask, literally.

Description ||

Provides hydration, evens out the skin tone and reveals calmed, soothed skin.

Usage time || 15 to 20 minutes

Impression || I was really pretty skeptical at first when it comes to cooling sensation, thinking this probably just gonna feel fresh but boy, it’s cooling like putting my face on the wall of my fridge. Yes, it happened way before when I foolishly tried one of those local products that gave me burning sensation. I don’t have thermometer with me though.

Hibiscus extracts are known for many of its great features such its ability to even out skin tone, anti-aging property as it's rich in antioxidants e.g. anthocyanosides but of course these applied when it's in high concentration i.e. skincare products. Still, a low concentration but repetitive usage as in using it for daily sheet mask session can probably give you some result.

This mask also contains Niacinamide for brightening and Panthenol for soothing which both are my favourite ingredients right now. Did you noticed the pinkish essence for this mask? Now that’s a first for me.

My thoughts || I love this sheet mask! I was right about using the mask in my morning session. It hydrates, soothes and actually brightens up my skin a little bit. After 20 minutes, though there’s a lot of essence not yet fully absorbed, I just tapped my facial area lightly for a minute till it dries down and I just love how it doesn’t leave me with tacky finish. I just followed up with light moisturiser and my favourite anti-pollution sunscreen.

Overall, 4/5. A minus point would be the preservative (phenoxyethanol) being high up on the ingredients list but that’s just it. I guess that’s why masks from Naruko usually have 3 years of shelf life.

Purchased from Hermo Malaysia at RM36 per box of 10 sheets which is awesome compared to RM6.90 at Watsons Malaysia. Definitely will repurchase!

That's all from me, I'll see you guys on my next post! Annyeong~
