Beauty Empties | Sheet Masks 2.0

Thursday 28 December 2017

Finally, it's the last day of 2017 and I want to share with you guys the sheet masks that I've bought and used plus the ones that I've tried some that were gifted to me from other sheet mask addicts and PR companies. These are all the ones that I've accumulated for the past 3 months so let's get into it!

The above, my regulars from THE FACE SHOP and Innisfree. I also tried another sheet mask line from Innisfree; Skin Clinic Mask. Unlike their daily sheet mask, the variants for this line is so specific as the ones that I've tried are Peptide (anti-wrinkle), catechin (purifying Green Tea) and Madecassoside (soothing and calming). Sounds so science-y don't you think? I'm definitely down for upgrade for sure. The sheet for this mask line is so thin and I'm telling you guys that it made me addicted to thin sheet masks! Stay tuned for more to come after this!

I only got several more of those Mediheal X LINE Friends sheet masks and considering to buy the ones upgraded version in their original packaging. I did a review on that Mediheal White Hydrating Black Mask EX so do check that out!

B.Liv Malaysia sent me their latest Nano Bio-Cellulose sheet masks to try and again, if you haven't read my review on these babies, please check them out as these are just so good or I need to try another five Bio-cellulose masks to try and compare them in order to legitimise my review. They are overall just filled your skin with moisture as all of them are lined with Hyaluronic Acids and coupled with ingredients that are targeting specific concerns for anti-aging, optimised hydration level and soothing inflamed skin. Love them all and I'm seriously considering getting them in boxes.

I got that Blossom Jeju mask from Kurator Malaysia as a Gift With Purchase and I know it's being raved among those who love premium skincare but as I haven't done much research before using it, I ended up using the whole packet of facial oil though I was taken by surprise when I didn't break out from it. Probably going to get the new upgraded version now available at their store.

I finally tried a Papa Recipe mask that have been raved among those with dry skin so when its number come up for me to to use it during October's masking challenge; Honey category , I'm so happy! There are 4 variants available at Sasa Malaysia and I started with the one that I anticipated the most; the whitening one. It does brightened up my skin a little bit but I love how well it moisturised my flaky jawline area!

Now, I have to say that Skinfood mask is the first snail-based product and I'm going to say outright that I love this stuff! I was afraid to try any before this but guess I'm okay with it! Let me get some more of this! I love that dusty pink by the way! Perfect undertone!

I also picked up some sheet masks from brands that I haven't tried before like SNP, Pascucci, and Color Combos. For me, all of these are basic sheet masks that I use in the morning as they're refreshing and hydrating at the same time.

The above are some of the sheet masks that Putihtalk sent me for review purposes but for now, do visit my Instagram as I did a micro review on them as required. Overall, I'm just frustrated with the fact that none of the sheet masks are readily available here in Malaysia as I really like all of them!

Recently, I've also discovered affordable sheet masks from the brand A'Pieu and it's great that these are easy to get your hands on as they're available online and Malaysia-based as well so no waiting time for shipping Seoul-KL and to KK for East Malaysian like me. I got all the variants for the two sheet masks above so do stay tuned for my review on them.

As I was also getting sheet masks from our local drugstores; Watsons and Guardian, I've encountered those cute in-house brand with fruit-themed packaging (again these are for October's mask challenge) and a new brand being introduced in Guardian, LipHop. It's from Korea and the products aren't just sheet masks as I do noticed lines of skincare as well.

Some variants of my favourite Taiwanese sheet masks; My Beauty Diary the new 2017 upgraded version of Natural Key series. There are two types of serums; Hydrating which is slightly milky and thick serum whereas the Refreshing serum is slightly watery and transparent gel. Love the refreshing ones (Damask Rose and Royal Pearl) for morning masking while the hydrating ones (Natto and Imperial Bird's Nest) for my night session. Overall, love them and will repurchase when I actually finished all 25 of them as I bought 2 or 3 for each of 10 variants. I know it's a lot but that's just me when it comes to stuffs I know I'm going to keep coming back to and it's great as I got them at discounted prices at Sasa Malaysia. They sell My Beauty Diary sheet masks in boxes (8 pieces per box)  at RM49.90 or loose packets RM6.90 per piece but I got them at RM25 for 5 pieces.

Of course, one of my favourite variants from Naruko, it's cooling so and perfect for chilling out after work. Those from Dr. Morita are black masks that are great for morning session. One of the first Japanese sheet masks I've tried and it's quite average despite its price but I guess I'm going to finish all the four them before putting my final thought on them. I got them at at RM40 for 2 boxes of 4.

Phew! I guess that's all of it! I'll see you guys on the next post. Annyeong and Happy New year 2018!
