Log | New Year's Eve... Plan?

Wednesday, 25 December 2024

I don't remember if I actually mentioned this before but when it comes to luxury brands, I've always been a fan of Saint Laurent. Admittedly, it's thanks to Jungkook but the brand  always caught my attention especially after Anthony Vaccarello became the Creative Director back in 2016. Seeing his latest Spring 2025 collection recently is such a pleasure as the colour palette isn't limited to the usual bright hues but there's mixed of warm brown and burgundy which are my current staples in my capsule wardrobe.

One of Saint Laurent's current ambassador, actor and model, Lee Jongwon has been such an inspiration lately; both on and off the screens, voted as one of GQ Korea's Men of the Year therefore it was given that he wore Saint Laurent for his whole outfit at the party.

Went deep into my own personal wardrobe to see if I can pull a set of outfit and I guess that's all I have! I got that satin blouse in dark red and black blazer from TUCZ last year and they both go well with that pleated straight cut pants from Poplook. To match the outfit, my trusted black-and-gold structured bag and loafers duo from Charles & Keith along with that simple classic watch from Daniel Wellington and my absolute staple hijab from TudungPeople.

Few more days till 2024 is over and while I don't really have plans for New Year, here's to always feeling positive and better mental, physical and spiritual health in 2025.

Out With My Girls #2

First, the outfit. When it comes to outerwear. I love plaid shirts paired with plain t-shirt and a pair of damaged jeans. It's simple and just perfect for hanging out. To add a little edge to it, I choose Timberland boots. From malling to street photography, these boots just do it all.

For accessories, I think a simple black watch and glasses can match the whole outfit plus those nail polishes! I'm loving the formulation, really!

To carry all my necessities, I think a sling bag is enough plus I'll be just carrying a small camera, card holder and my phone (of course, some makeup items) but I guess it'll do. A small pom pom keychain adds a cute element to it.

For makeup, I opted for high coverage foundation so Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation and for point makeup, I want dark eyeshadows hence Urban Decay Naked Smoky with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita that last all day long.

Of course, my final piece would be a Starbucks tumbler. I'm still looking for that black-coloured one though.

Until next time!

After coveting that white planner from Paperdorable.com for months, I finally got one myself and it's truly pleasing to know that it comes with a "dirt" insurance.

Anyway, it's been awhile since I gathered white items for a set of look as for the past 5 years I'm so into black in literally everything. First, the Timberland boots! Ah, of course thanks to ultimate boy crush right now - Jungkook I'm actually considering to get a pair for myself and I'm eyeing few pairs at Timberland Boutique in Imago, KK Times Square.

Second, that white messenger bag! Ah~ the one from Kate Spade is indeed so pretty but I've seen similar design in Braun Buffel but it's way more expensive, haha

As for the accessories, no card holder is prettier than those from Alexander McQueen but as it's not readily available in Malaysia, I've seen similar items in YSL. I'm not sure a Kate Spade watch can really tie the whole look together but I'd prefer a G-Shock if I were to wear a pair of Timberland shoes. A shawl is a must if I were to hang out at Starbucks all day, I mean look at that golden tumbler! LOL

Gucci EDT is just an option here but these days I'm into Salvatore Ferragamo Mysteriosa. I just can't not have a black item for a day. haha <

Do you like wearing whites too? let me know by leaving comments down below. :)

MBD Style | Out With My Girlfriend

Friday, 2 December 2016

I had one day to spend with my friend in KL before heading back to KK last week so we decided to hang out at Nu Sentral. There's no particular reason why we chose that mall but there's Sephora and Starbucks, so enough said.

We've also figured that she needed a change in her wardrobe so we went to several clothing stores to see what kind of style that suit her well.

I started with bottom first so we went to Levi's store to see which jeans cut that flatter her beautiful curve (I still think a straight cut could never go wrong) and a basic shirt with flannel suits daily wear to class. Of course, a backpack!

For shoes, a high cut Converse to me is essential. Nope, it's not because Converse High by BTS from their The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever album has been on repeat for the past few days. I promise!

I guess that's all for this look! Let me know your thoughts on this look by leaving comments down below!

MBD Style | Airport Fashion Inspired by BTS SUGA

Wednesday, 16 November 2016

I saw a photo of BTS Min Yoongi a.k.a Suga wearing a long coat, sweater, and carrying a carryall at the airport and I came up with this set where I attempted to translate his style into something that I could probably pulled off. Again, probably.

A carryall suits the look from Suga but I think I'd prefer a backpack for an airport fashion and of course, a skinny jeans with high-cut military boots to match. Instead of going with a long coat, I'd choose a trench coat as it's always raining wherever I'm going anyway.

Let me know your thoughts on this by leaving comments down below.

P.S.: Currently on my iPod playlist: BTS Cypher

MBD Style | Airport Fashion Inspired by BTS Jungkook

Monday, 17 October 2016

I've been following Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bangtan Boys (BTS) for about a week now, right after they released their 3rd Korean album, WINGS and all I can say is I've been head over 'boots' (intended pun as the boys wear tons of boots for their airport fashion after their debuted back in 2013) with their music and style.

I was looking for inspiration before my trip to KL in December so I went over to Pinterest to see if I could translate the boys' fashion into a set of style that I could probably pulled off. Let's emphasize the word 'probably'.

If you do a Google search on their airport fashion (except during this winter time) the boys wear tight jeans, shorts, graphic shirts, some accessories and most importantly, backpacks. I've added my own personal favourite i.e. headphone and camera - two things I can't board a plane without.

This is the style that I came up with so do let me know your thoughts.
