Skincare Routine | Sunscreens

Sunday, 18 February 2018
Whether it's bright or cloudy throughout the day, a beauty enthusiast such as yourself and myself included will definitely know that there's no such thing as not wearing SPF protection while you're out and about under the sun. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be giving out my thoughts on line of products at certain point of my skincare or makeup routine, I'll be discussing about my selection of sunscreens that depends on my activity of the day.

THE FACE SHOP Natural Sun Eco No Shine Hydrating Sun Cream SPF40/PA+++. My favourite sunscreen from the brand that I've repurchased 3 times, this being the third time it being repackaged excluding the time it was released in The Simpsons limited edition last year. This is supposedly giving me sebum control on my T-zone and hydrating my cheeks. I use this on daily basis; indoor and not much of movement i.e. officeworks.

THE FACE SHOP Natural Sun Eco Daily Sun Essence SPF40/PA+++. The lightest Korean sunscreen I ever tried. I really like this as it's just perfect for my no-makeup makeup days. This is actually the first chemical sunscreen that I have and I usually go for this whenever I feel like I don't want to pile so many things on top as I'll be touching up with just blotting paper/powders i.e. indoor activities.

Dr. G Brightening Up Sun SPF42/PA+++. This sunscreen hydrates and instantly brightens my uneven complexion as it has a light pink to peach undertone so it's sun protection, moisturising and tone-up effect in one step although I haven't been using this a lot to say whether I like it or not. I use this for indoor activities where I'll be wearing makeup on top.

Biore UV Perfect Protect Milk SPF50+/PA+++. I recently got this from a gift exchange with a fellow beauty enthusiast on Instagram and I can't deny the fact that I really like it for its lightweight consistency! Definitely will come up with a full review for this one later.

I still have several other sunscreens that are opened but not yet juggled among these sunscreens solely because I want to finish one bottle before moving onto the next one.

Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite sunscreen? Do let me know by leaving comments down below!

Until next post, annyeong~

Review: Etude House Sun Prise Cooling Body Spray SPF50+ PA+++

Saturday, 18 January 2014
Hello, beautiful people! This is the second post of the day and I've been wanting to do this review for so long but haven't got the chance to as I was focusing on finishing the review for my September Haul.

Finally I get to finish it and today, I'm going to review the next item from my October Haul which is the Sun Prise Cooling Body Spray with SPF50+ PA+++ from Etude House.

As I mentioned in the previous post, I've been traveling a lot throughout the past few weeks and this is one of the things that is a must have especially if you're going on sightseeing under the sun.

Product Description:

Portable UV defense mist spray for use anytime , anywhere.
Ideal for for outdoor activities.
Formulated with Mangosteen, Lotus Flower, Aloe Extract for soothing relief.

How to use:
Spray mist to sun-exposed areas of the body and pat dry.

Net Weight: 150ml

Packaging:

I honestly was kinda surprised to see the product's name when I saw it on the display for the first time. Why? Cause it's written 'Sun Prise' which I honestly thought they misspelled it or something. Only few seconds later I realized it's actually a sunblock and hence the name. LOL

Basically, the product is housed within a very sturdy metal canister. It uses a very nice blue hue for the cap and the illustration along with yellow hues. Totally cute.

The expired date is printed at the bottom of the canister.

The product description. Note that to use the product within 12 months.

The fine nozzle. I really love how it sprays the product nicely onto my skin.

Verdict:

As you can see here, the dispensed product is milky liquid. Just spray about 20cm from your body area and you'll get a very nice spread all over your body. But I usually spray my hands from about 10cm away and quickly spread the product all over my hand area.

It'll leave white cast but usually it'll fade after about 10 to 15 minutes.

What I love the most about this sunblock is the scent. Smells like babies! :D Yep, it has powdery scent and I'm totally in love with it. What's more? It lasts for a about 3 hours.

To me, this sunblock works just fine. I usually got really bad sunburned after walking around under the sun without sunblock so this one is awesome. I don't even feel the heat that I usually had before.

As it's just so easy to spray on and with that cool sensation, I just love it.

Final verdict: 5/5. I'm not sure if you guys ever tried this product and saw a flaw in it as for me, it's fine. Plus, it's not really that heavy so I could just throw it into my bag anytime and anywhere.

I got this for only RM29.90 though the retailed price is RM61.90 during October Sweeties Club promotion last year.

I guess, that's a wrap and I'll see you guys next post.

Until then, take care.
