Beauty Empties 21.0 | June

Friday, 28 June 2019

Here we are at another Empties post for the second quarter of this year! I'm so proud of myself for finishing bunch of products this time around so first, let's go to some skincare products.

As usual, I'm gonna start with cleansers! You guys know that I'm totally dedicated to double cleansing method, right? How about you?

For makeup remover, I have recently finished the most expensive cleansing oil I ever bought in my life! Hah! I'm not exaggerating as that 150ml bottle of that Shu Uemura Anti/Oxi+ Pollutant & Dullness Clarifying Cleansing Oil is retailing at RM143 in their boutique. I've got mine from Imago KK Times Square boutique and it was actually so much fun as I also got to try their makeup and some skincare products. Because of this product, it's actually the first time I ditched the double cleansing method as this oil cleanser is already enough to remove all kinds of makeup and impurities. I already purchased its newer sister product so I'll get this again next time.

For facial cleanser, I've finished the Althea Bare Essentials Contour Cleanser I think around last month but I'll be honest, I don't think I'll be repurchasing as my skin is leaning towards drier side and this cleanser is indeed a high pH product so my skin become even drier because of that. I used it like a third for my face and finished the rest of it as my body cleanser. Love the verbena scent, though!

Finished the first bottle of that Bifesta Bright Up Foaming Whip and I'd be sure to repurchase this one at least as it's the gentlest foam I've ever tried.

I've also finished 2 deluxe samples for cleanser during a quick getaway. I've already finished a full-sized bottle of the LANEIGE Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil and as for the Huxley oil cleanser, I'm not that impressed so I guess I'm going to pass it.

Now, let's move on to first treatment products!

Finished my fourth bottle of THE FACE SHOP The Therapy First Serum and I still loving it and I've already repurchased another backup for it.

I've finished bunch of deluxe samples for Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum the new upgraded version and I like the new better as I feel it's more hydrating. I already opened a new full-sized bottle!

I've tried the Mamonde First Energy Serum deluxe sample but I don't feel it's hydrating enough for my skin so I guess I won't be getting full-sized of it.

I've also finished my first tub of Althea Waterful Green Bamboo Pads that I really like so I bought several tubs more as they're on sale. It's really convenient as it's pre-soaked and I just wipe the pad across my face after I'm out of the shower. The pads are so hydrating and soothing at the same time, I sometimes even use the pads as my point masks.

I've also finished my first bottle of Krave Kale-Lalu-yAHA 5.25% Glycolic Acid Treatment and I am loving this so much! I don't think I can go a week without using this in my evening routine as it really helps smoothing out my skin; my flaky dry patches around my cheeks and chin. I already bought another from a local reseller but man, I cannot wait for the brand to start shipping their products soon!

For toners, I've finished that Dr.G Hyper Brightening Toner but I don't really like it as I don't see any hydrating nor brightening effect so I'm not going to repurchase.

Used up some deluxe samples and you guys know I love that LANEIGE Cream Skin Refiner and I've bought full-sizes of that ISOI and Fresh rose toners because I want to compare them both so do stay tuned for that.

The only treatment (essence, serum or ampoule) skincare product that I've finished is that Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater Essence and to me it's simply a basic hydrating essence. It does performs similarly to Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum but I decided to repurchase latter as it has thicker consistency (being a serum and all) instead of this. I do hope its boosting ampoule sister is better so I'm going to open that soon.

For moisturisers, I've finished the Althea Bare Essentials Fixer Cream - the first one out of the trio and I actually do like it although I'm not going to repurchase this day moisturiser anytime soon as I want to finish other opened products before coming back to this one.

I actually fell in love with that LANEIGE Water Bank cream so I've decided to buy the full-sized only to find the new upgraded Water Bank Hydro Cream at the store. Awesome!

As for that Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream, I absolutely love it! It's great for day skincare routine as it leaves me with ample of hydration for me to pile on matte or tone-up sunscreen on. Already bought the full-sized tub!

Finished my second tube of THE FACE SHOP Natural Sun Eco No Shine Hydrating Sun Cream and already opened my third! It's great for regular indoor days while that Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway is perfect for working days as it gives slight tone-up effect. I have already got my backups during last Althea sale.

Finished all these facial mists about the same time and the only one that I've repurchased in full-sized is that LANEIGE Water Bank but in its new Hydro and Moisture Mists.

I had breakouts several times for the past few months and I use the THE FACE SHOP Dr. Belmeur Spot Plaster Band during daytime and that COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch for
nighttime. Both work great and already repurchased.

For sleeping masks, I still have several of that LANEIGE White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Packs in my stash but I'd be sure to finish them soon. It works great but quite pricey to begin with so I haven't got myself the new upgraded White Dew version.

When it comes to lip care, I love lip sleeping mask the most but those from Petitfee is just average I'd say so I decided to repurchase that LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask again for the third time in Vanilla and Grapefruit!

I'm back and forth between Althea Petal Velvet Powder and Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder. I love both of them and and already repurchased like 2 years worth of them as Althea got sale recently and Innisfree released their annual limited edition powder that comes in 13 different designs and I. Got. Them. All. :D

I didn't actually finished the Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer as I have decided to stick with my top sebum-controlling and pore-blurring primer from Benefit Cosmetics. So, thank you but I guess there's no Next one for me.

Some of the samples that I've gone through while I'm in the office doing my midday skincare routine! Finally got myself the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum by the way!

I guess that's all of it! I'll see you guys on my next Empties post! Annyeong~

Blogger Mail | WYNORA X COSRX One Step Green Hero Calming Pad

Thursday, 31 January 2019

Toner pads! I honestly don't know what's the generic term for this product but that's what I'm calling all the toners or liquids that come with cotton pads and usually packaged in tubs. The first toner pad I've got is a sister product to this number from the brand COSRX and it's one of those products that took me the longest to finish as I'm not an acne-prone person but beginning mid last year where I turned 30, I've noticed that some of facial area has started to become dry and flaky; thanks to episodes of allergic reactions but even after more than 6 months, the dry area doesn't seems to improve as much as I want to hence I'm looking for a solution/product that can help with the dryness at the same time doesn't irritate my skin (unlike abrasive physical scrubs or cleansing brush) in the process.

At this point, I know an exfoliating toner that usually contain AHA, BHA even PHA (gentle acids) can actually do that but I'm still looking for one that still offer hydration and peeling off i.e. exfoliate the dead skin cells gently. If you aren't familiar with acids in skincare, here's article that I found recently. Now that you know where I stand when it comes to gentle acids in skincare,  let's go to basic details of this product!

COSRX One Step Green Hero Calming Pad

Product Description:
It focuses on weak acid exfoliation and soothing properties for sensitive skin with green tea water 75%, PHA 0.25%, and "Green-Rx complex", consisting of dandelion leaf, centella asiatica, witch hazel, tea tree leaf, and mugwort extract.

How to Use:
Swipe the embossing side across the face avoiding eye area after cleansing. Swipe the softer side across the face to pick up the remaining debris. Replace the lid tightly to make sure the pads stay wet and clean.

Ingredients:
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Butylene Glycol, Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion) Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Artemisia Princeps Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Lactobionic Acid, Maltodextrin, Panthenol, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Glycerine, Arginine, Allantoin, Asiaticoside, Asiatic acid, Madecassic acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Menthyl Lactate, Mentha Haplocalix Extract

Ingredients highlight:
  • Dandelion Extract - soothing, reinforce skin barrier
  • Centella Asiatica Extract - skin texture improving, soothing
  • Witch Hazel Extract - soothing, hydrating
  • Tea Tree Leaf Extract - sebum & pore care
  • Mugwort Extract - soothing, vitality care

Now, let's talk about the packaging!

Same as its sister products, this one too came in a box with similar design; the illustration of Mr. RX on top lid of the box with photo of the front elevation of the tub printed at the front part of the box.

At one side of the box, there's the ingredients list, instruction on how to use and more information printed while the period-after-opening (PAO) symbol is printed at the bottom of the box which indicates the product is to be used within 12 months after opening.

The toner pads came within the above sturdy, opaque white tub with a screw lid.

There's the expiration date printed at the bottom of tub and the format is YYYY.MM.DD so that's 12th November 2021. There's simple product description and instruction printed at the side of the tub as well.

There's also the white product seal that need to be taken off before using the product. No product seal? I'd suggest for you to return the product ASAP!

As I took the photo before using the product, you can see that the 70 pads are almost reaching the top of the tub. Don't you just love it when all the pads are still nicely arranged like that? I have found other products that came with disarranged pads and that's just unsightly. The toner is actually green in colour and there's only little of it left at the bottom of the tub to be absorbed.

APPLICATION

The two sides of the pad is totally different; there's the embossed side of the pad where I usually wipe my whole facial area with and there's the smooth side of the pad where I tap my facial area with for the excess toner in it.

As you can see, there's definitely impurities/residues getting caught in there. I'd say this toner-soaked pads are not irritating even to my sensitive facial area; cheeks and jawline. There's a faint scent to it but I can't determine what's the scent is.

Overall, I do like it very much! I can't help when it's too easy to use and I kept reaching for it (which means both my morning and evening skincare routines) ever since I've got it! The toner is so soothing and surely toned down my redness to almost none. I also use couple of the toner pads as point mask; placing each of the pad on my cheeks for like 5 minutes before wiping off my whole facial area, neck, at the back of my ear and chest area. I sometimes place the whole tub in my refrigerator in the morning and use them for my evening routine.

Now that I have all three of these toner pads, I'm using the One Step Moisture Up Pad (contains Hyaluronic Acid, propolis and natural BHA) in the morning while the One Step Original Clear Pad (contains betaine salicylate; a type of BHA and willow bark water; salicylic acid, also type of BHA) in the evening and this One Step Green Hero Calming Pad (contains 75% green tea, 10% Green-RX Complex and 0.25% PHA; Lactobionic Acid) in either of my routine especially when my skin is feeling irritated. I always use either of these pad toners right after cleansing and then proceed with my hydrating toner and the rest of skincare routine.

I know people with dry and sensitive skin would appreciate this product and love to have this in their skincare stash but if you're one of those who are a little bit sceptic, please refer this cosDNA page for your further reading. I gotta point out that almost all ingredients are rated 1 with Glycerine rated 2 when it comes to safety.

Also, if you're familiar with unpa (beauty SNS platform with almost 2 million downloads) then you should know that this product is one of the winner for Pad Category. This product is also currently ranked at no.14 (best at no. 2) for Mask/Pack Category on Hwahae (beauty SNS platform with almost 4 million downloads)! Speaking of which, I wonder when can we have reliable English beauty SNS platform like these two?

Beauty Empties 18.0 | September

Thursday, 27 September 2018

Here are the products I've emptied throughout the past 3 months! Woohoo! You guys know what this mean, right? More room for new products but starting this month, I'm actually on low-buy probably until November because I do want to see what's in-store for the upcoming Year-End Sale. For now, let's go over these products that I've finished and I'll let you know whether I'd be repurchasing them (which means love 'em, need 'em) or tossing them out into the real bin. Let's get into it!

For cleansers, I am done with the Aritaum Apricot Seed Deep Cleansing Oil that I've got last year from Hermo. As much as I like its scent, I used this a lot to clean my air puffs instead of using it as first cleanser. This is a limited edition product and this brand is longer carried by the store.

As for the two COSRX cleansers; Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser is a great second cleanser for my evening routine as it deeply cleansed my skin and I don't see excess dirt on my cotton pads whenever I'm using this particularly on days I'm wearing cushion foundation. Yes, will repurchase although not anytime soon as I still have other deep cleansing foams in my stash. I've been loving the Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser so much; I've finished this second tube and already bought my backup for it. It's gentle and doesn't dry out hence a perfect morning cleanser.

I've finished another bottle of that THE FACE SHOP The Therapy First Serum; technically half of it as I gave this half of it (100ml) to my mum (yes, we both are currently using The Therapy skincare line) as we both are really enjoying the product. It deeply hydrates the skin and making it soft and supple to touch. Already bought my backup for it.

Next product would be the 3 Seconds Starter Vita Complex from Holika Holika that I've gotten from Althea around early last year. I've got to admit that this product was among few that I've managed to finish the fastest and that would be less than 3 months as I've started using it back in July (although I actually opened it in May) to accompany my sheet masking session. It doesn't really help with brightening but I just feel my skin is soft and plump as I alternate this skincare booster with the first treatment serum I've mentioned above. I still have other products to try so I won't be repurchasing this.

Finished the Camu Camu Moisture Cream from Brillar I think around August and I was actually quite surprised finding myself loving a moisture cream; thinking it'll be thick and sticky but I was wrong. It feels nice on the skin and absorbed quite well. Still, seeing this product is no longer available on Althea, I won't be repurchasing this product.

Done with the first tub of LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask! I love it as it does what it claims, my lips feeling soft and supply the next morning and I surely regret the night I didn't apply before going to sleep. Already purchased my backup in Vanilla!

I'm sure that tub of COSRX One-Step Original Clear Pads will be the first of many repurchase in the future. Well, I already bought one together with its One-Step Moisture Up Pads sister. It works nicely as exfoliating toner and I've been using it a lot for midday routine where I remove my makeup, cleanse and use it as toner before doing my sheet mask. Love it!

Finally done with that Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em body scrub from Soap & Glory together with its travel-sized version. I do like them especially for its scent and it does make my body feels smoother after using but I'm now off to try other products so not going to repurchase at least for now.

That cute Cotton Flower Bubble bath and Shower Gel from Sephora Collection is totally nice but they no longer carry this and revamped their whole Sephora Collection already so I guess I'll be getting the new ones to try.

Last but not least, I've finished another bottle of this Vanilla Eau de Toilette from The Body Shop. I actually been using this EDT for years; way before starting this blog actually so I sort of lost track to how many bottles that I've finished. It's lovely, definitely to my liking and yes, I'm sure I'll be repurchasing this.

I guess that's all for now! I sure hope you guys are enjoying posts like this and now, I'm off to throw out these emptied bottles of products so I'll be seeing you guys on my next post. Annyeong~

Skincare Routine | Emulsions and Lotions

Wednesday, 6 June 2018

As I've mentioned many times before, I have always prefer light moisturisers such as emulsions during the day while slightly heavy lotions for my night routine however I'm going to admit that I've been loving moisture creams these days and sometimes I even using them both for my day and night routines especially on super sensitive skin days. I tell you, my skin barrier is a little bit crazy for the past month due to allergic reaction caused by food poisoning. Still, let's talk about current opened emulsions and lotions in my stash.

I've already talked about THE FACE SHOP White Seed Brightening Lotion and Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Lotion in the last Round 11.0 of my skincare and the same goes to that THE FACE SHOP The Therapy Hydrating Formula Emulsion but I just want to say that I'm so happy to finally got the full-sized version as I'm out of my deluxe samples months ago. I love using it for my anti-ageing-themed night routine and sometimes it serves as a sealant to everything I've applied prior to it.

As for that COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion, it's actually a lightweight hydrating emulsion suits for day routine and it contains BHA that helps with refining skin texture. i do find this is actually quite nice and soothing but not for these times when my skin is sensitive. I will get back to this once my skin condition return to its original state; better, healthier skin barrier.

So that's all for now! I'll be seeing you guys on my next post! Annyeong~

Skincare Routine | AHA, BHA, PHA!

Wednesday, 16 May 2018

I honestly do think that I should've included the COSRX One-Step Pimple Clear Pad in this post rather the previous one as it's basically a toner containing betaine salicylate and willow bark water to chemically exfoliate without drying the skin. I guess, I should be doing that in my next post probably in September where I'll be talking about my next Round 13.0 of skincare but for now, let's go into these acids that I've been incorporating in my evening routine for the past few weeks.

First, those two products from COSRX; the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner and BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. I have these two for quite sometime but honestly I’ve only been using them few times as I keep on reaching for other toners (whether it's brightening or hydrating toners)  as I want to speed up my routine especially in the morning when I don’t have the luxury to wait for 15 minutes for these to work and then proceed with the rest of my skincare routine. I will put in more efforts to use them in my evening routine probably in another two weeks after my skin is less sensitive and I'd probably be doing special treatment  by using cleansing oil followed by BHA and a clay mask. Let’s see if it works.

New addition to my acids squad is that SNP Lab+ Triple Water Peel Soothing Pads. I’ve only been using this for several times in the evening but I already am loving it! This contains AHA, BHA and PHA which are kind for my sensitive, dry cheeks area with oily T-zone. Let me use it several times more before coming up with a proper review.

So that's all of it! Let me know what kind of facial exfoliators that you're using in your skincare routine by leaving comments down below. Until next post, annyeong~

Skincare Routine | Facial Exfoliators

Sunday, 13 May 2018

I cannot stress enough of how important to exfoliate your skin properly so your skincare products got absorbed properly into the layers of your skin. Today I'll be sharing about the various types of products I've shown you above so you can find at least one that best suit your skin.

First would be these classics; Skinfood Strawberry Black Sugar Wash-Off Mask and Skinfood Honey Black Sugar Wash-Off Mask (Snoopy limited edition). I have these from the previous round of skincare and I'm down to the last quarter of these tubs. of course, I'm still using these wash-off masks as scrubs although I've dialed down the usage to twice a month my skin is still a bit sensitive due to few weeks ago's allergic reactions. These are great, I do find these two are hydrating enough and will continue on using it.

Second would be the COSRX One-Step Pimple Clear Pad. I’m getting back to this acid toner pad as I’m getting breakouts and the flaky skin areas are getting bigger so this helps a lot in preventing it from spreading along my jawline area and smoothing the areas. I've also noticed that my pores appearances are being reduced hence cleaner, I guess? Overall, this is great and I'm dying to try the Moisture version next.

Thirdly, the two peeling gels; DR. FROG Control-Tox Peeling Gel and Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel. I’ve introduced these peeling gels into my routine quite recently. If you’re not familiar with these, they’re definitely not going to peel off your skin 😂 as the gel gently exfoliates the dead skin cells on the surface as I massage my cleansed skin with it. These are perfect in between my scrubs days and I've noticed my skin becomes smoother after using.

So that's all of it! Let me know what kind of facial exfoliators that you're using in your skincare routine by leaving comments down below. Until next post, annyeong~

Skincare Routine | Water-Based Cleansers

Sunday, 6 May 2018
As I talked about first cleansers on my previous post, today I'll be updating you guys on my current opened water-based cleansers that I use for my everyday morning and evening routines so let's get started!

For morning cleansers, they are usually lightweight, foamed up mildly, non-drying hence I'm back with another  tube of COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser! I've finished my first tube back in September and as I need a low pH cleanser in my current routine, I decided to open my back up. I know the name says Morning but I do actually use this for evening if I were to just stay at home all day long.

Another favourite of mine; THE FACE SHOP Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam is coming back to my routine as it's going to expire next year (yes, at this point I'm going to say outright I'm going to stop buying backups as I do have a lot in my stash so no backup necessary) but I won't worry about finishing up this one as I'm sharing it with my brother. Of course, it's because we're sharing the whole bathroom.

A recent addition to my morning routine is the LANEIGE Fresh Calming Gel Cleanser. Now this is something that I've gotten myself the day when I had allergic reactions due to food poisoning; skin inflamed and itchiness was taking all over my skin so I rushed to LANEIGE counter in Imago, KK and gotten this cleanser because I remember trying its samples and quite liking it for its gentle and non-drying features. I've been using this a lot especially the past week.

Cleansers for my night routine are usually much intense compared to my morning cleansers as they need to remove the residue from the first cleansers as well. They are also high in pH therefore I'll be needing pH adjusting toner as a first step after cleansing. These cleansers can sometimes making my skin feel really dry at times so I usually follow up with hydrating toners.

I've gotten that Dr.Jart+ Dermaclear Micro Foam along with its sister; the Micro Water because I'd like to see how they work together. This doesn't dry out my skin at all as it is mild and the foam isn't thick. I do think this cleanses well and I'd be sure to use it more to see its performance.

The same goes with Heimish All Clean White Clay Foam; I've gotten this as I want to use it with its cleansing balm sister. I haven't used this enough to tell how it really performs so I'll update on this cleanser later.

The last but not least, Althea Bare Essentials Contour Cleanser that I've got from Althea Korea in Blogger Mail last month. Do check out yesterday's post on it but I'm going to say that I love the refreshing verbena scent!

Now, if you're skincare beginner, I bet you're confused as to why do I need so many different cleansers? It goes without saying that you won't be needing this many for a single person usage  and it's just that it's in my nature as someone who blogs about beauty, I just love trying different products within one period of time (in my case, 6 months) to see what works, what doesn't. I will say that it's important to listen to your skin's needs and make sure to maintain your skin barrier well so if you have rather sensitive skin, I'm definitely not recommending for you to juggle facial cleansers.

I guess that's all from me! Let me know your favourite cleansers in the comment section below and I'll see you guys on my next post. Annyeong~

Skincare Diary | Night Routine

Monday, 16 April 2018

For the past few weeks, I've been loving the combination of these two; ARITAUM Apricot Seed Deep Cleansing Oil and COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser as they cleanses deeply and I don't see any residue left even if I were to wear foundation or cushion foundation for the day. The cleansing oil goes on lightly and melted my makeup nicely and that cleanser actually helps with getting rid of accumulated dead cells which is great as I'm dreading the days for me to use physical scrub.

My skin is feeling dry and looks dull thanks to my hectic schedule so I added a brightening sheet mask which is that Dr.G Whitening Vita Mask to my moisturising night skincare products; Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin and Lotion then seal everything with that Brillar Camu Camu Moisture CreamI've been loving this moisture cream so much lately and hoping to get another tub however I don't think Althea will be restocking this so I think I'm going to grab something from Kurator.my as I saw a moisture cream from the brand Primary which is so nice-looking. I'll keep you guys posted on that.

I guess that's all for today's skincare diary and I'll be seeing you guys on my next post. Annyeong~

Skincare Routine | AHA, BHA. Huh?

Wednesday, 17 January 2018
There are times when scrubs can be aggressive to my skin so during that time I usually opted for AHA/BHA toner to take care the whitehead and BHA toner that focus on the blackheads.

One of my 2018 skincare resolutions is to learn more about incorporating acids in my routine. Again, as I’m approaching the big 3-0 this year, I want to learn more on how to improve my skin texture or accelerate the rate of skin turnover hence increase skincare absorption into my skin.

COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. I use this focusing on my T-zone area plus a little bit more around the nose area where my huge pores can be seen from 2 blocks away. If you’re not familiar with BHA products, a quick info would be it contains Salicylate; a milder Salicylic Acid that can help in getting rid of dead skin cells and blackhead within the pores and hopefully at some point will lessen its appearances. I’m still experimenting with the frequency and consistency of it so I’ll keep you guys posted once I’m down with a final review.

Are you using acid in your skincare routine? Let me know!

Until next post, annyeong~

Skincare Routine | Facial Exfoliators

Sunday, 14 January 2018
Year after year, skin's turning over rate are getting slower as I'm not getting younger so it's imperative for me to exfoliate dead skin cells in order to increase product absorption into the layers of my skin. For today's post under my Beauty Routine series where I'll be talking about line of products at certain point of my skincare or makeup routine, I'll be talking about the products that I use in between cleansing and toning step.

Skinfood Black Sugar Wash-Off Masks in Strawberry and Honey (Snoopy limited edition) version. It's been awhile since I last use the original version as it's too abrasive for me now. Even the last time I was using it, I had to mix with a little bit of cleansing oil prior usage. With these two, I can just go right into my scrub routine (2 times a week). I love these both, been repurchasing for more times I can remember since 2013. I do actually love the Rice mask so I'm going back to that once I'm done with these.

COSRX One-Step Pimple Clear Pad is my first exfoliating pads. I use this like once a week in between my scrub days to take care some flaky area of my skin. It's really convenient for me but I can't use it more than 2 times a week as during the early days of trying, this dries out my cheeks so bad I had to skip scrub for 2 weeks.

That's all of it! Do let me know if you have product suggestion to exfoliate your skin (let's not go to acids yet) by leaving comments down below.

Until next post, annyeong~

Skincare Routine | Second Cleansers

Sunday, 7 January 2018
Second post on under this Beauty Routine series where I'll be talking about line of products at certain point of my skincare or makeup routine and this time my water-based facial cleansers that I use in the morning and after I've well removed my sunscreen or makeup in the evening.

Bifesta BRIGHT UP Foaming Whip is my morning cleanser when I use sleeping mask the night before. It’s so gentle and cleanses well. This is actually my second bottle from the same cleansing foam line. Love the sebum-controlling variant that I've finished last month as well.

Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Foam is a cleanser that I use on those mornings when I feel my skin is too dry due to air-conditioner. I've been using this a lot lately and about to finish this soon. Probably not going to repurchase as I do want to try other non-drying cleanser.

Innisfree White Pore Facial Cleanser is the only product from the skincare line that I actually like. There are beads in it that gives a little bit exfoliating action onto my skin and I love how my skin felt smooth after using this. Also about to finish this soon but again, not going to repurchase as I'm planning to try other similar cleanser to this.

COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser is a cleanser that I like so much though I can only use this every other day as it can dry out my U-zone area. It makes my skin feel smooth as it gently exfoliates my dead skin cells and I’m running out of this soon too. Yes, this is definitely a  repurchase for me.

I guess that's all from me! Let me know your favourite water-based facial cleanser by leaving comments down below.

Until next time, annyeong~

Blogger Mail | Hermo Christmas Holiday Like a Star

Approaching towards the end of 2017 with sales both online and offline; I mean seriously? Have you walked down the shopping wings in Imago, KK Times Square the recent weeks? I know I did though only for a little bit of time as things at work rather multiplied itself around this time of the year. Which is why lunch hour at the office can't be more exciting with the online deals, vouchers and discounts especially at Hermo Malaysia

Now, talk about this Holiday season, whether I'm just hanging out at home for the weekend or a quick getaway with my family, COSRX products are always be among my beauty essentials. Be it my favourite exfoliating cleanser, Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser, my One-Step Pimple Clear Pad to remove dead skin cells and my new favourite, One Step Pimple Clear Kit which include a cleanser, the toner pad and a sheet mask in one packet; all of these are among the products I have in my weekender bag.

Of course, with my current obsession towards sheet masking and as I've been using at least once a day in my evening routine (sometimes morning), I just had to grab these great daily sheet masks from Naruko. I got the above 5 variants along with the limited edition that only being released here in my country, Malaysia; the Bunga Raya Snow White Ice Cooling Mask.

I've been loving lots of regular or daily sheet masks as I call it as they're simple, easy to use and the texture is refreshing and hydrating at the same time; two things I need throughout the weekdays as I don't really have much time for a 10-step skincare routine in the morning. Just cleanse, tone, do the sheet mask for 10 to 15 minutes, light moisturiser and finish off with a light-textured chemical sunscreen. Then, getting ready for about 20 minutes and I'm off to work!

I've been into shopping online for Korean beauty products since 2014 and quite honestly I don't even know that I'm a Platinum member on Hermo Malaysia until I started to use their Mobile App and saw the member status on the Account page. I usually just put things on my cart and checkout while I'm shopping on my desktop. Though I can't enjoy the member privilege during the sale time but still, the deals are just so irresistible!

I guess that's all for now and I'll be seeing you guys on my next post!

Beauty Empties 14.0 | September

Thursday, 28 September 2017

Now that we've reached to the end of September; the third quarter of this year, it's time for another round Empties post and as per usual, let's go to skincare empties first!

I've finished the second tub of that THE FACE SHOP Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Cream and as much as I want to repurchase as it's indeed great as day moisturiser but you guys know me; I want to try other products. I've talked about LANEIGE White Plus Renew products that I've finished in last Empties post and at this time around, I've emptied the Skin Refiner and Emulsion sisters. I gotta say that these are the last ones I have in my stash and although I still have 2 bottles of essence and 2 tubs of creams, I'm not going to repurchase these as I'm already looking forward to try the new upgraded White Dew skincare line. I also have finished the first full-sized tub of LANEIGE Water Sleeping Pack_EX. I really like it as it retain and I'm glad to let you guys know that this sleeping mask is a staple in my routine and I've already repurchased this although I've got the the latest upgraded version; Water Sleeping Mask being the fourth upgrade since its launched back in 2002. I know last time I said I said I'll purchase the new Firming Sleeping Mask but not to worry as I've got the deluxe sample of it to try.

As for cleansers, I've managed to finish Bifesta Sebum Cleansing Lotion and its sister Sebum Foaming Whip. These are my favourite among the other variants that I've bought and I'd be sure to come back tho these once I've finished everything. That COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser is the first tube that I've finished and I've already got my backup for it. It's gentle, cleanse really well, doesn't dry out my skin and I absolutely loving it!

I've replaced my night moisturiser with brightening sleeping mask from LANEIGE which is the White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack on several nights the past months and I quite liking it! My skin appeared brightened, smooth and plumped with hydration! That small bottle is actually the Spot Ampoule that I've added to my night routine as I applied on my acne scars. I do feel like it's drying my skin so I dialed down the usage from every night to every other night and the dryness reduced significantly.

I've also managed to finish handful of deluxe samples! There are the LANEIGE cleansing oils, Multi Cleanser, and Mini Pore Blurring Tightener. I still got several more of these so I won't rush in buying the full-sized version for those that I actually like.

I also decided to give the no. 1 bestselling product from Innisfree which is The Green Tea Seed Serum a try for a week as I've used up the sample sachets and deluxe samples. I gotta say I'm liking it already and I've purchased the full-sized version recently. As for those Green Tea skincare samples, I do find them rather average in moisturising as I've brought them to my weekend trip recently and I guess I won't be purchasing the full-sized versions. The Innisfree Jeju Orchid Skin however was so nice and I've added it to my shopping list probably next year as I've already got my next toner that I want to use. Those Capsule Recipe Packs also from the brand were great but I don't think I want to get them anytime soon as I still got some more in my stash as GWPs from my last Innisfree hauls.

I've also finished the deluxe samples for THE FACE SHOP Chia Seed Sebum Control Moisture Water and Cream as I've used up the full-sized versions.

Lastly, let's go to body care products!

Instead of going back to my usual Sunsilk green bottle shampoo, I've gotten the Hijab Recharge Anti-Dandruff instead but I guess it didn't perform any magic in solving my dandruff and scalp issue. Not going to repurchase. This time I've finished the Hair Conditioner from Melilea as I didn't get the conditioner from Sunsilk and I do find it quite average in softening my hair. Not going to repurchase as well.

For hand care, I only finished that huge tube of hand cream, Lea Mind Protective Hand Cream also from Melilea but the scent for this is quite overpowering not in any way that I like so although it's moisturising my dry hands, I won't be repurchasing this.

So I guess that's all from me. I hope you enjoyed this post as much I'm very much satisfied with these products are being used up. Off their went into a real bin.

I'll see you guys on my next post! Anneyong~
