Beauty Empties 16.0 | March

Thursday, 29 March 2018

Finally, a proper Empties post! As you guys know, I do Empties post every quarter of the year so this is the first one for 2018. This time around, I've emptied some skincare and body products so let's get into it!

For cleansers, I'm finally done with that balm cleanser from Banila Co. I've already opened another on its stead and already loving it so I won't be repurchasing the new upgrade anytime soon. Yet another bottle of THE FACE SHOP Rice Water Bright Cleansing Water finished before I decided to review it. Not to worry, I've already repurchased it along with its Mild sister. LANEIGE Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil is a great cleansing oil as it works well with removing my makeup and sunscreen however I don't find myself reaching for it quite often as the texture is quite thick and not to my liking. Still, I've finished it and I'd probably won't be repurchasing it anytime soon. As for the Innisfree White Pore Facial Cleanser, now that I finally finished its cleanser I've decided to stop using whatever that's left to the toner and cream as I no longer want to 'control' my sebum and I'm focusing on my hydration and moisture level in my skin instead.

I've also finished my first bottle of LANEIGE Clear C Advanced Effector and already opened a new bottle for it. Like its predecessor, it's great at maintaining my skin texture while boosting the rest of my skincare products effects as it's filled with berries extracts and the difference between the two are their texture; the old one is thick and serum-like while the new version is light and toner-like which is absolutely welcomed to my skincare stash.

Another set of essence and cream that I've finished from LANEIGE White Plus Renew skincare. I still have another bottle and tub for these two respectively so I'll be done with them by then. I've also used some of the Capsule Sleeping Pack also from the same line and I still do like it as I only need to cleanse, tone and use the sleeping mask on lazy nights.

As for that TonyMoly Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack, it's a nice, brightening sleeping mask but I don't get suffice hydration from it so I won't be repurchasing this. By the way, I just found out that we have official TonyMoly online store here in Malaysia. Have you been to the site?

The a;t Fox Gyoolpy Tea Fresh Water which is a facial mist that infused with Vitamin C, Gyoolpi or dried Tangerine peel extracts is kinda nice too! I've got this from Althea Box No. 13 Vitamin Box last year and I've used this facial mist up around April I think. I have lots other facial mist to go through so I won't be repurchasing this anytime soon.

Lastly, some body care products that I’ve finished are these two hand creams; Nivea Smooth Nourishing Hand Cream and Innisfree Perfumed Hand Cream in Warm Wood (Christmas 2016 Limited). One was very much nourishing as it contains Macadamia Nut Oil so I used it on very dry skin days while the other one was for when I merely want to skip my perfume and applied heavily scented hand cream especially after lunch time. That Perfumed Body Mist in Cherry Blossom from THE FACE SHOP was a staple on my office table and it literally lasted like a month as I kept spritzing myself with it ever since I got it.

I guess that’s all of it! Some of these skincare products were part of my Round 11.0 skincare and though I didn’t finished much, I’d still consider that much as some sort of accomplishment compared to back then when I’d usually just tossed out stuffs that I didn’t finish.

Until next post! Annyeong~

Skincare Routine | First Cleansers

Wednesday, 3 January 2018
Hey, guys! I decided to do a series of posts on sharing my thoughts in the form of quick mini review for each or group of products included in my 11th round of Korean skincare that spanning since September last year so it's given when you see some of the products mentioned here seemed about to finish as I'll  be starting on Round 12.0 starting in April. I'll be going in the order of product usage i.e. from cleansing steps to sleeping masks so for today's post it's going to be my line of first cleansers which are my makeup removers.

I've been indulging myself in Bifesta cleansing products ever since I've discovered the brand in my local drugstore mid last year. Although the Eye makeup remover (the first on the left) is finishing rather slowly as I haven't been really wearing much of eye makeup, the cleansing lotion on the other hand goes on literally like water to me as I've been using it as my my first step to remove my makeup. I've finished the first bottle I got; Sebum Cleansing Lotion around last month so I went with the Brightup Cleansing Lotion along with its sister the cleansing foam which I'll post about next time.

Another cleansing water that I've been using is that B-Lab I Am Sorry Just Cleansing: Pure Cleansing Water and that's actually the travel-sized version which I have been carrying in my handbag/backpack in case I wanted to remove my makeup midday at the office for a quick sheet mask session. It works well, smells like coconut milk and basically just remove everything I have on my face.

I'm actually about to finish that cleansing balm from Banila Co. and I'm going to admit that I'm  actually excited to open the next cleansing balm in my beauty stash as this stings my eyes and whenever I use it to remove my eye makeup, it melted so thinly and some goes into my eyes and I had to rigorously rinsing it off with water until it stop blurring my vision. I just heard that the whole line will be renewed soon and I do want to see if they improved the formulation.

Cleansing oil works the best when it comes to removing my makeup especially on those days I layered thick base makeup or literally just piling on sunscreen while outdoor. Aritaum Apricot Seed Deep Cleansing Oil is just great at doing that and it smells so nice too! The consistency isn't too thick but it still melts my foundation and emulsifying it with water takes seconds while rinsing off was easy with this one.

Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Oil probably not for normal to oily skin people like me as it's just too intense and thick for me. Even after rinsing it off for several minutes still not enough and I had to use deep cleansing foam next but honestly these days I only been using it to wash my air puffs.

Last but not least, LANEIGE Perfect Pore Cleansing Oil which is actually a second bottle for me. This works the best at removing all kinds of makeup even my liquid lipsticks! This doesn't clog my pores and easy to wash off. The amount per bottle is ample enough to last the whole year for me. The scent is refreshing too!

So, I guess that's all from me! Let me know your thoughts or do recommend your favourite makeup remover.

Until next post, annyeong~

Skincare Diary | PM Cleansing Routine

Friday, 14 April 2017

The first thing I want to do the moment I got home is to remove my makeup but I usually do some stuffs before shower so I use cleansing waters for that. I gotta admit that I've been obsessing with cleansing waters lately and bought bunch of different ones just to try them out. For the past 2 weeks, I've been using B-Lab I Am Sorry Just Cleansing: Cleansing Water for this purpose. This removes my full makeup so well and I do like the coconut smell.

Then I'll use Banila Co. Clean It Zero to really just remove all those gunks that been laying around my face all day or just sitting comfortably in my pores. This baby melts off all of my makeup. Waterproof or not. It's balmy texture turned to oily once you massage it onto your skin. I felt my skin so smooth and soft after rinsing it well.

As I got bunch of samples from LANEIGE, I've discovered the Multi Cleanser among them and been loving it since the first time I used it. It deep cleanses and brightens up but doesn't dry out my skin. Considering to buy a full-sized.

After I rinsed off everything, I finish off with toning my skin with Son&Park Beauty Water. This is just perfect for that last step in cleansing as even after all the 3 steps I usually gone through, I still see some dark pigments on my cotton pads as I swiped my face with them. Hopefully dead skin cells. There's only less than an inch of it left so I'm happy that I've repurchased my backups.

I guess that's all for tonight's cleansing routine, I'll catch you guys on the next one. Annyeong~

Skincare Diary | Night Routine

Sunday, 12 March 2017
I have been thinking to go back to my original intention of starting this blog i.e. to document my beauty journey so I came up with this "skincare diary" section where I'll be writing down my skincare routine of the day or night. It's like #OOTD whereas this will be #SCROTD? That's awkward. Let's just do #skincareroutineoftheday. Huh?

Anyway, let's get onto the tonight's routine.

For pre-cleanser, I'm still loving that Banila Co. Clean It Zero; a cleansing balm to remove my makeup. The scent is nice and it does remove all my makeup though it sometimes stings my eyes. T__T Onto the second cleanser, I just finished my THE FACE SHOP Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam and currently using the travel-sized sister. Then, I use Son&Park Beauty Water as my last step. I've been loving it as it helps in getting  rid of my dead skin cells effectively thanks to its Willow Bark Extract and Papaya Fruit Water. I'm about to finish the 500ml jumbo bottle and will repurchase soon.

Review | Banila Co. Clean it Zero Sherbet Cleanser

Friday, 5 August 2016
Last month, I got an opportunity to work with Althea to spread the news on their celebration of their first birthday and I got the chance to pick up several items from the store. Some products are my personal favourite (I honestly don't have much time to scroll through the products that they're offering so I just went those) but this is the one product I've been eyeing to get for so long but as Banila Co. isn't available locally so this is just perfect.
