Review | Kevyn Aucoin Neo Bronzer in Capri

Tuesday 12 July 2016
If you know me personally then you might noticed that I'm not into blusher that much and ever since I started doing makeup, I only have one blusher from Bourjois for like 2 years before I got my current and absolute favourite cream blusher from Aritaum. Then, this came through the mail.

As I still considered myself a noob in makeup, I'm not surprised to find out about the brand being one of the most coveted name in Hollywood. By merely looking at the packaging, I think anyone could tell that this is an expensive makeup item.

Product Description:

Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Bronzer is an innovative bronzer that combines three hues to create dimension and structure for the complexion.

Available in a selection of summer-ready shades, The Neo Bronzer boasts a blendable texture that glides onto the skin, imparting sheer coverage that will enchant the complexion, resulting in a fresh, sun-kissed finish that will leave everyone in awe.

Utilising a colour gradient design, The Neo Bronzer is revolutionizing the way we approach bronzing palettes, by featuring all of the desired hues in one convenient strip, meaning the chosen applicator can be delicately swept across, picking up the perfect amount of colour.

Be summer-ready all year long with the inspiring The Neo Bronzer from the icons at Kevyn Aucoin.

Tip: The three hues featured in The Neo Bronzer can be used separately for added definition and full creative control.

How to Use:
Sweep a bronzing brush over the palette. Dust onto the complexion.

Ingredients:
Talc, Mica, Zinc Stearate, Silica, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Lauroyl Lysine, Boron Nitride, Laminaria Ochroleuca Extract, Tocopherol, Caprylic/Capric, Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Isopentyldiol, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Sulfate, Water (Aqua/Eau), May Contain, Iron Oxides (CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

Packaging:

The product came in that huge beautiful kinda heavy hence sturdy case. The top pinkish maroon case totally give off a luxury vibe with that milky-way pattern. Even the box it came in is in gold colour.

What I like the most about the packaging is the huge mirror! I don't really use brushes or sponges that came with makeup products so I don't really mind this came without any applicator but that mirror is definitely a plus.

From left: Bronzer, blushed and highlighter. These are colours when they're not mixed.

Application:

I know that the lighting is kinda too bright here but if you look closely, there's a subtle and warm wash of pinkish  colour on the apples of my cheek which looks so natural and though I'm not really into highlighting or bronzer in my makeup routine, the bronze colour give me that warm feeling while the highlighting part give me the nice amount of sheen.

I can totally use this on both kind of makeup base i.e. liquid foundation even cushion foundation. Most of the time, I just mix the colours well to get my desired colour that depends on how warm or pink I want to put on that day. As I'm still heavy handed, I'm using Etude House My Beauty Tool Blush Brush which helps in picking the right amount but if I feel like I've picked up a lot of product, I'll just tap the handle of the brush lightly on my arm to dust off the product a little bit before applying on my cheek area.

The thing I noticed the most about the shade is how it brings out the colour of every nude lipstick I have. Be it coral or pink, the mixed of colours suits my lip makeup all the time.

There's ample of product that came in one palette so I do think this gonna last me for a while. As I've only encountered this product from the brand, let me know if you've tried any product from the brand by leaving comments down below.

Until next post, annyeong~
