Review | TheFaceShop Nourishing MasCream Sheet

Sunday 15 May 2016
If you're a sheet mask junkie like me so you probably know that there are many kinds of sheet masks available in the market and they're usually being categorized into different type according to their respective formulations responding to different skin issues and what set one category to another is whether it approaches one issue at a time or multiple issues at one go.

During the first 2 years I'm into Korean beauty products, I was (maybe still am?) into buying lots of KRW1000 sheet masks from Etude House, TheFaceShop and Skinfood. The prices in Malaysia ranging between RM5 to RM7 and I grabbed a lot of them especially during sale. I use one sheet every 2 to 3 days after toning and lotion i.e. at serum or essence step and proceed with the rest of the routine.

I think it was around this time of last year that I got hooked into buying much more expensive sheet masks and I use one sheet per week usually after doing scrub and I do think the experience is much better. I first tried this MasCream Sheet in Nourishing from TheFaceShop last year and I couldn't not return back to the store and grab some more.

Product Description:

The intense-action MasCream revitalizes the look of tired skin with nourishing cream containing peptides and quinoa.

How to Use:
Unfold the mask and carefully place it on your freshly cleansed face, avoiding the eye and mouth contours.
Remove after 10 to 20 minutes and tap gently on skin until the cream completely absorbed.

Ingredients List:

There's Canola Oil, a known plant extract that has restorative and skin-soothing properties. I know Sunflower Seed Oil has anti-inflammatory property. it's mentioned here that Quinoa seed extract provides vitamins, antioxidants, and proteins that increase collagen and elastin production, thus giving moisturized, evenly toned skin.

Packaging:

I gotta say that the size of the packaging is like 1.5 bigger than your regular sheet mask. It's too wide for my sheet mask container and I have to place them in separate container which resulted them being left out from my regular sheet mask rotation.

The sheet is quite thick and I think it's fabric like cotton or something. It doesn't tear and after I'm done with the sheet mask, I even wiped my hands with it and it felt like wet tissues.

I was kinda curious of how much essence left in the packet after taking out the sheet and I'm really surprised to see that much! I squeezed out as much as I can and apply the cream on the sheet and even then there's still leftover so I spread over my neck area as well.

Verdict:

Despite looking like a hard paper, the sheet actually hug my face really well. Love the cut! I lie down for about half an hour before removing the sheet and massaged the rest of the cream into my skin.

Overall, I really love this variant from the MasCream line though so far this is the only one I've tried (I bought lots of this compared to other variant) among those that I bought in February. I felt my skin so soft i.e. nourished after use and don't feel the need to continue with my skincare after that. My dry patches disappeared even days after using this sheet mask.

Final verdict: 5/5. Though it's kinda expensive compared to my usual sheet mask treat, it's RM9.90 so it's always great to grab this whenever the stores are having sale.

I think that's all I want to share with you guys about this mask so do  let me know if you've tried similar sheet mask by leaving comments down below.

Until next post, annyeong~
