Review | Etude House Milky You Cleansing Foam

Sunday 1 May 2016

I think it's in the nature of a beauty blogger that we tend to try lots of products for review purposes but for me, if we're talking about cleanser, I tend to use different cleansers for my morning and evening routine (I even have a separate mild cleanser if I need to remove my makeup mid-day) and that is something I do even before I started blogging.

I've been using this cleanser from Etude House for about 4 months now especially in the morning when I usually use a gentle cleanser.

Product Description:
This pure and gentle cleansing foam comes with a milky foam formula, effectively washing away dirt, impurities, and makeup, delivering moist and smooth, baby skin.

Capacity: 170ml

Packaging:

If you've read my review on its sister product, the packaging design is indeed in continuity. White tube with baby blue fonts, definitely goes with purity and gentle product concept. It's simple so I do like it.

At the back of the tube, there's English product description and more explanation on the product but in Korean. Still, you'll get sufficient information. Like other Korean cleansing products, this can be used within 12 months after opened. There's the distributor sticker as well so yes, I bought this cleanser from local Etude House store in Kuala Lumpur.

At the top of the tube, there's the manufacturing date printed. Guess I still have about 6 more months to finish this as usually Korean beauty products are good for 30 months on shelf. This is one of the things beauty bloggers are experiencing; there are lots of products to finish so it's best to put all products you have on a list and track them accordingly.

The cap is a pretty regular cap but I love it when there's that round embossed part inside the cap that can help the product from spilling given if you cap the product properly.

Verdict:

The product is in that white cream with slight sheen in it. It's pretty thick so you won't be needing a lot to use in the morning. That's the usual amount I use actually.

As I lather the cream, it'll turn into thick creamy foam (left) before it'll be a little bit bubbly (right) but once you add more water, it'll be more softer as if you're using a meringue-type bubble foam. It's nice!

I normally use warm water when I mix with the foam but for rinsing it off, I'll use cold water especially on the last rinse to close the pores on my skin.

All in all, I do love this cleanser. It's really gentle and doesn't dry my skin at all. It makes my skin feel so smooth and soft to touch after every wash.

Final verdict: 5/5. Love it!! Definitely will repurchase in the future though I'm not sure if this still available at the store as I do know that Etude House release several number of new cleansers recently. I can't even find this product on Amazon.

I guess that's all about it! Hope you find this review helpful and do leave comments if you have tried any similar product from Korean brand as well.

Until next post, annyeong~
